Advice on upgrading my pc

Hello everyone, I need some advice on upgrading.
I was considering on maybe upgrading to a Radeon RX 9070 XT since I am not happy with the performance I get. Currently I play mainly Battlefield 6 and besides that is it about time to make a upgrade.
I have this pc since July 2020 and never upgraded anything.
Main focus is to achieve better gaming performance. I use a 1080p 240 hz monitor.
I have a budget of around €800,-
Any advice on what to do? Thanks!

Here's a look at how the 9070 XT pairs with your 3900X:

As you can see the CPU holds it back a lot, but you're only going to have €100 change for a CPU upgrade after you buy that GPU. You could get a non-XT, lose about 10% performance and save another €100 to put towards a CPU or get a 9060 card leaving you a budget for a higher end AM4 CPU.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
What I currently have in thought is to now purchase the 9070XT, save some more up and then upgrade to a 10th anniversary 5800x3d.

That sounds like an excellent plan!

A 9070xt and upgrading to 32gb of ram will give you a veryvdecent gaming boost but I would advise upgrading your cpu to really get the best out of it but the 3700x will keep you going until you can afford your next upgrade.

Currently planning on buying the 9070XT now. Save some more and then purchase a 5800X3D 10th anniversary and lastly upgrading the RAM.

Yeah that seems like a good move even at 4k 32gb of ddr4 3600mts only helps in average fps slightly and is more about the 1% 0,1% lows which it can help in a lot.
Luckily I upgraded my ddr4 before the price hike so got 32gb for under £100 its over double that now so I can see why a ram upgrade isnt 10p% necessary lm

it just depends whats cheaper in your region
if a 5070ti is cheaper, get that, if a 9070xt is cheaper, get that instead
imrchopper@reddit (OP)
Alright, yeah here the 9070 XT is around 600 - 700 up to 800 and the Ti 1000 - 1100.
troy0h@reddit
then yeah 9070xt, it's pretty much the same performance, all you lose out on is DLSS really
just don't get the nitro+ variant, that uses the shitty 12vhpwr connector

Alright, thank you!

The 5070ti is literally £200/$200 more expensive in virtually every region,
Only reason to go the 5070ti route is if you must have RT or if you want to spend over 1200.
troy0h@reddit
there's bound to be a couple where it's about the same price, maybe a £50 difference
2Ravens89@reddit
The price differential of 5070Ti versus 9070XT not worth it I wouldn't say. I've seen Nvidia at it's best with a 5090 and yes it's better software than AMD but not THAT much better.
Especially at 1080p these cards are complete overkill. If anything they're designed more for rendering internal resolutions at 1080p and upscaling to 4k more than for your purpose.
So you may as well save the money and be happy with that.

5500x3d or soon buy the rereleased 10th anniversary 5800x3d, which might also drive 5700x3d prices down. yeah just stay on am4
also get another 2x8 kit, doesnt have to be matched. am4 is not too fussy.

Okay, thanks.
All together is currently outside my budget. Should I buy the 9070 XT first, and then, when the 10th anniversary 5800x3d comes out pick that one up aswell and lastly the RAM?
ConversationFirm2112@reddit
literally buy any 2x8 ram kit above 3000MHz. it really doesnt matter much at all.
