Where sells the best cooling socks in the UK?

I'm on my feet 12 hours a day in essentially an autoclave, and socks make a huge difference to my body temperature. Where can I buy the coolest (in terms of temperature, not snazzyness) all black socks?
jlangue@reddit
First, don’t buy all black socks. The colour black absorbs heat more than any other colour. The closer you get to white socks, the cooler they’ll feel.
Decathlon has a good range of running socks that should fit the bill, otherwise.

This isnt true. Whilst black material absorbs more radiant energy from the sun, it makes absolutely no difference when it comes to infrared heat transfer.

Not really helpful as the point of the sub is to ask. Any question on here could be fed through Google, but they want the opinion of other like minded individuals in a forum where they can discuss.
Im not sure this is the right subreddit for you
Mugweiser@reddit
where did they say that? seems like this guy wants good socks, and I've offered him the best avenue to to get that. google comes with thousands of reviews etc too.
im not sure this whole internet thing is right for you.

Google tends to come skewed by adverts with reviews infected by bots. It used to be great, but the modern internet is dominated by opportunism and capitalism so search engines aren't actually that great at finding good new things. However, good old fashioned word of mouth like from a forum or Reddit can provide a more personal and (hopefully) trustworthy opinions from people. There's still bots on Reddit, but they're easier to filter out than on Google reviews.

(hopefully)

But the personal touch is still more trustworthy than Google reviews. It's shit. We have a potentially awesome system but people will always find a way to exploit it.

Bridgedale smart cool (wore them for 20+ years in the RM)
And you really want cool feet
Bamboo fibre, & Silk liners
& in really cold conditions - *Yak Wool
All naturally thermoregulating, great for wicking sweat & withdrawing heat
*Or keeping them toasty (in their natural environments)
LichenTheMood@reddit
Thin wool. Ideally non superwash but they are hard to find
BobBobBobBobBobDave@reddit
This is going to sound counterintuitive, but try some thin wool socks.
They are breathable. Your feet will probably be less sweaty than in cotton.

Used work with year round motorbikers, full leathers etc. They swore by seal skinz socks.
