Anyone in the PDX area into Sun computers ? I just happen chance met a retired SUN field engineer and he sold me this lot but he says he has tons of boards. I picked up the attached.

I miss Solaris.

I grew up on SunOS 4.3.1, so I am contractually obliged to dislike Solaris (the joke where I was that Solaris was nicknamed 'Polaris', because every time you used it something exploded). I'm aware it got better.

I got a boxed 8 and shrink wrapped 9 with it.

What kind of boards?

Not sure yet he needs to unpack he says he has tons. He is going to reach out when he has time.

I’ll look out for it

Yeah I'm interested!

Just like I used in engineering school. Let me know if you need help hacking it. I believe you have the wrong keyboard though. On Sun keyboards the backspace and backslash were switched. To the point where I still mistype those today because I was so used to it.

It’s a sun key board however I get no power to it maybe clock chip? Keyboard model # 3201256-01. I really don’t know much about these systems yet.

Never heard of a clock chip issue on a keyboard. But that one is different from what we used. I don’t see the Sun logo, and the meta and super keys are differently labeled. I think ours had a lozenge symbol normally. But I used sparc 5,10,30s, and more. So maybe my memory is off.

I'm on the other coast ... and very jealous. That's a nice setup.
