Disneyland on Juneteenth black people get in free

Imagine if Disneyland said on Juneteenth black people don't have to pay for entry or food at the park.
I don't think it's possible to know who is "black" so it will be the honor system.
If anyone complains, say that a company can do whatever it wants. Black people were once property and that was wrong. If giving black people free amusement park entry and free food one day a year is wrong, let's be wrong.

Can it be any ol' black people or just those who cling to the victimhood of slavery?
I've worked with a fair number of Africans who want ZERO to do with African-Americans due to their horrible lifestyle choices and default victim mentality.
**i am not saying all, I have worked with and known plenty of African-Americans who defy the stereotype and are successful. But there's definitely a modestly large group that follow the "my great great grandfather was a slave and all white people are oppressers" narrative.

You sound like one of the oppressors. Your family owned slaves didn't they?
originaljbw@reddit
Nope. Sorry to ruin your imagined narrative.

Hey real sorry about that whole slavery thing. Here's a hot dog and a fast pass for space mountain.

The only thing is the real victims are long gone and wouldn't be able to take advantage of it.

Some are still alive. Old...but still alive.

people who are alive today are very much negatively affected by the legacy of slavery. doesn't matter that they never personally experienced the slavery. it still victimizes them

That's where you're wrong.

Omg is that a hidden Mickey?

Crazy that y'all want to keep inventing new racism.

This feels… problematic.

Well, if you want to be fair, just about every race and nationality has been a slave in the past. Does this mean everyone gets in free?
Asparagus9000@reddit
You'd have to sell a limited number of free tickets ahead of time, because otherwise there would be too many people in the park to be safe. so people would scalp them.
