Folds up? Portable?
Character-Brain2093@reddit (OP)
1977 portable yes because you can move it without a forklift ...

Osborne??
DecentlySpaghetti@reddit
Osbornes have horizontal floppy drives instead of vertical. This seems to be a luggable clone.

I'm mostly familiar with TRS 80 and it doesn't look like one of those.
The_Grungeican@reddit
well... it's a luggable.
if you could get us some better pics it'd help id'ing it.

I think that's a Varityper, an old desktop typesetter and competitor to the Vydec. Or some parts of one, at least. Some machines in that category are actually quite large, like big minicomputer size, full built in desk with external cabinets and possibly some form of exotic printer for making "Camera-Ready" documents.

Like a terminal from Fallout. Cool find!

Is this an osborn????
cch123@reddit
I don't think so. The keyboard is all wrong and I think the disk drive should be horizontal?
HungryHungryMarmot@reddit
Possibly an old word processor?
