New barrel had a leak...

Out of 54 gallons I got 9. I bought this last spring and apparently it had a bad seam and leaked out 45 gallons or so. I went to move this and I could smell E85 faintly. It was in a dry shop. The only thing I can think of was condensation last summer and hot cold flexing of the barrel. I don't even want to know what a new barrel costs now. There is only a few pumps with E85 in CT and when I go to the dyno I am going to have the base map with regular race gas and then a second tune with E85 and then the ecu can blend maps with the E85 sensor depending on concentration.

E85 smells sour as hell to me, idk how you didn’t smell it.

I totally agree.... but I wasn't by it much over the winter and there's no heat in that section of the building I'm in.

It happens, It's spooky in an unsettling danger sort of way, but it happens.
It's a good warning in checking in on those fuels.

Might want to test the water content whilst you at it as it’s been able to breathe may have picked up quite a bit of moisture
