Of course! Pretty sure we all worked at rental stores, so....

My local video store had a curtained off back section for anatomy research.

My manger had us watch any defect tapes. Most of them were a wide range of porn. Once a week or so my buds and I would stay late and watch the porns. Saw some stuff we wish we didn’t though. Good times, probably over exposed my young brain to some weird stuff.

I did one shop for like 2yrs 99/01. It was the best job I’ve ever had and I’m self employed.

I preferred the clamshells. My local video place would put the long, thin side they had to cut away from the original packaging out as bookmarks.
I still have dozens. Grabbed a handful as we were packing up the old house.

I only ever saw these at Hollywood Video.

It seemed every video store but Blockbuster had those. I have some old wrestling tapes still in them 🤣

Was anyone else never able to get the tape out easily it always seemed to get stuck and never want to come out.

And mess up the box and the film art, which always annoyed me most (even though I’m not really a visual art guy).

When that happens you're supposed the shake the piss out of it.

Of course silly me😆

I worked at a local video store from 1998 to 2005! We used the hard plastic book type cases that clicked shut. I kind of wish I had one for nostalgia. I loved how super thin light silver/shiny stickers with the video stores name on it was just standard for like every video stores.
