Where do people actually get a cheap Carfax report without overpaying?

I’m looking at a few used cars right now and didn’t realize how expensive vehicle history reports get when you check multiple VINsAt first I thought "okay whatever, it’s just one report" - but after the 4th or 5th car it starts feeling ridiculous. When half the listings turn out to have accidents, mileage issues, or weird ownership history anyway. I’ve seen people talk about getting cheaper reports through different sites/groups, but a lot of them look sketchy as hell and I’m not trying to get scammed just to save a few bucks. So where do people get vehicle history reports these days? Or do most of you just pay full price every time and treat it as part of the used car hunt?

are you looking at private sales? then go the etsy route. if purchasing used from a dealership, get from the dealership.

I've used carfaxcheaper.com

Etsy or friends in car communities
But I bought one on Etsy recently for like $4, it just had some random dealerships name on it, I don't care 😂
