So the website “PC Part Picker” has said
“The Gigabyte B450M DS3H Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard supports the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor with BIOS version F60. If the motherboard is using an older BIOS version, updating the BIOS will be necessary to support the CPU.”
I went ahead with the build a few years ago and power was running through everything okay but it obviously did not boot up and show any picture.
Whats a cheap cpu i can buy to simply boot it up and sort out the bios update before swapping the cpus and how does one actually go through the process of updating it?

It used to be a 2200g but and actually used to have cpus they would send you to perform the update once upon a time. G because it had integrated graphics. They used to be 49 dollars and were handy to keep in a drawer fir firmware upgrades. Now all the boards are upgraded at the factory for every am4 cpuso it could be hard to find one

Do you reckon i could even just buy a cheap used cpu that checks out for compatibility to get the update done?
