State ref bail out ?

If I pay the bail out I’m good to drive it in the street again ? The state ref ticket is 225 dollars ( for context the car was straight pipe when I bought the car so I was state ref for cvc 27156 for emission modifications so bought an exhaust with muffler and resonator now the car is quite but won’t pass state reff due to having codes not related to the state ref with being a evap leak and turbo circulating valve I’m thinking of fixing later on but paying the state reff is cheaper then doing in short time span )

It should say on the citation whether or not you need to see the referee. I don't think you can just pay and move on anymore

My very limited understanding is that if you get state reffed, you have to take it to the referee and prove it's fixed before you can drive it on the street.

Do you think info like what state might be useful? I'm assuming that someone will know what "state ref" even means.

This is question for people who live in California, state reff is a citation for modified Vehicle which they send you to an inspection, I heard you could bail out and drive it without going to state reff but not sure if applies to my citation I recieve
