Which GPU is better ?

Hey everyone !
I'll make it quick, here's the PC that I'm building :
- Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- 32Go DDR5 6000Mhz
I want to get a good GPU for 1440p, in France I can either get a 5070 at 599€ or a 9070XT at 699€. Which do you recommand ?
I mostly do gaming (casual and comp), I sometime do some AI project, game dev and modeling in Blender (usually only low poly stuff). The 9070XT seems really the best price to performace here for me but I was always team NVIDIA so idk what to expect from AMD. I really like DLSS and all of the software, I also wanted to try Smooth Motion.
I don't really know what to pick because sure the 9070XT is better but I don't want to have a bad experience with AMD and regret my choice :'(
What do you think guys ? Is it frequent for a NVIDIA guy to regret picking an AMD GPU ?

Nvidia. Just search “9070xt driver issue” and you’ll see all the stuff the AMD fanboys claim doesn’t exist.

check the games you are going to be playing to see if they have any common driver issues with 9070XT.
Some games are notorious for driver timeouts with AMD GPUs, and this is coming from an ex-AMD user.

Is this still an issue fr?
I haven’t heard about this in forever (Radeon 270x), but it was the reason I switched over to Nvidia. Last I saw someone bring it up was in like 2020.

the couple games I know that had and still have driver issues are Runescape 3, FFXIV, CS2, Helldivers 2

I've read your answer and I'll probably get a 5070 and upgrade later since it 100% covers my needs atm. Is it a good idea ?

Rx9070xt has more Performance but dlss is far superior to fsr got to decide whats more important to you
Enough_Agent5638@reddit
new hardware unboxed video shows that the 5070ti is ahead in raster again
pwnilol300@reddit
But i wasnt about 5070ti it was about normal 5070
Enough_Agent5638@reddit
there were so many people talking about the 5070ti i thought he had mentioned it, my bad
pwnilol300@reddit
Fixed it

By like 2% lmao

I was team green since the early 2000's but for my current rig i went all in on team red and running a 9070XT and I've literally had zero issues

If you have the option for the 5070 Ti, then that is more power efficient than the 9070 XT.

I usually recommend amd card to others. I mean, I'm not the one that had to deal witb driver timeout anyway. (I'm evil)
Their driver isn't that bad if you don't do anything much, like trying to undervolt or overclock. But even then, there will be some time when it just happens, so I guess it depends if you want to risk it for a better performance/money.
ADo_9000@reddit
Go 9070xt

Blender/AI are usually a hard selling point for sticking with Nvidia. In addition to render times there are still many Nvidia only features in Blender. CUDA also has the largest amount of support for AI development. It's up to you if you use them really. The 9070XT is at a great price/perf for gaming and the 5070 isn't going to compete with it in that area outside of DLSS/PT features.

With your cpu, i might suggest to just save up more and go for 5070ti 16gb instead

If you can't afford 5070 Ti, get a 9070XT instead.

5070 Ti > 9070XT > 5070
