Do you go to Dunkin Donuts more for their baked goods or their drinks?

Which is most popular?
madogvelkor@reddit
Drinks and breakfast sandwiches. I don't like their donuts, either the quality has gone way down over the past 30 years or my tastes have improved.
For donuts there are local shops I'll go to.
SadExercises420@reddit
Same with bagels. A gazillion good bagels to be found, Dunkin’s are meh and overpriced for meh
AcademicSavings634@reddit
4$ for an everything bagel. I only give in because they’re so good.
SadExercises420@reddit
They’re better at a most places where I live in ny, we aren’t short on good pizza and good bagels.
Saw my new neighbors from Georgia ordering dominos and I’m hoping they start experimenting with local pizza because wow, dominos over like the ten pizza places in 3 miles that do it better
AcademicSavings634@reddit
Oh I totally get it. I’m from CT.
Gallantpride@reddit (OP)
I'm gonna probably be bashed for bad taste as a New Yorker, but I've never had a bad bagel. All bagels taste the same to me.
Dunkin' donuts are bad but their bagels are fine. They're just bagels. I used to eat cream cheese and jelly bagels from DD a lot as a kid.
madogvelkor@reddit
The only one I like is their bagel twist -- not even a true bagel.
ProfSquirrel25@reddit
The sandwiches, they use the meat printed from the labs. I’d never go back there again
Gallantpride@reddit (OP)
I doubt that. Lab meat is way too niche and expensive. Dunkin' couldn't even keep their Beyond sandwiches and they're gonna partner with a lab meat company? Nope.
Gallantpride@reddit (OP)
The local shops near me aren't very local, and I live in NYC. There's a Dunkin every other block but you have to look for indie donut bakers. Vegan donuts? The closest one I know of is a 1 hour bus ride away.
I don't eat donuts much anymore for that reason.
In terms of tasteb
Entenmann's > Krispy Kreme (store-bought) > Krispy Kreme (actual store) > Dunkin'
I have family who swear by DD, but they always taste dry and bland to me.
TheRealThordic@reddit
When they stopped making them fresh in the store the quality went down the toilet.
ITrCool@reddit
This is why I’ll always be a “local donut shop” kind of guy if I want donuts. Many still make them fresh in-house daily.
Crafty_Ish1973@reddit
Same.
poyt30@reddit
Donuts highly depend on if they have an in house baker or not. If they don't, everything baked gets shipped from local plants and it's really not good. Still not amazing when they do have a baker, but its a lot better than the stuff that gets delivered. Better off going to a local shop of you really care for you donuts though
AcademicSavings634@reddit
Theirs only like 3 donuts I’ll eat on the menu.
VariegatedPlumage@reddit
Quality has gone way down. The seasonal maple ones they make are still okay and the chocolate cake ones aren’t bad but those are the only ones I can stomach. My husband loves them, which is weird.
Ok_Concentrate4461@reddit
I’m obsessed with the pineapple mango refresher with black tea. I just tried making one myself and it needs some tweaking…
I’ll eat the donuts if someone brings them, but even Walmart donuts are better.
The food items are too expensive and I don’t bother.
I remember being a kid and watching the donut man making them behind a window.
kinggeorgec@reddit
Their donuts are not good, I'd rather go to local mom and pop. I've never had their coffee once I tried their donuts.

Mostly for their bathrooms.
Tasty_Philosophy7666@reddit
I personally think their coffee is not good. Tastes cheap. Like a tier below Starbucks, which isn't a high bar. Their bagels are solid.
lonestar659@reddit
I don’t go there at all.
Free_Ad_4_U@reddit
Dunkin’ is the equivalent to supermarket donuts. They have a massed produce taste that’s offensive. The coffee is fine, but when you put that much sugar in something of course it taste fine
G17Gen3@reddit
Walmart's donuts are better than Dunkin. It takes a very deliberate effort to come up with a donut shittier than WalMart.
I honestly don't know why anyone gives Dunkin a dime.
Gallantpride@reddit (OP)
Dunkin' is worse than supermarket donuts. I'll take Entenmann's or Krispy Kreme any day. Maple Donuts and other brands are good too.
Entenmann's chocolate are top tier.
6a6566663437@reddit
A lot of supermarkets bake the doughnuts at the store, so they end up better than Dunkin as long as you’re shopping early in the day so that they’re fresh.
baalroo@reddit
I've never had supermarket donuts that sucked as bad as Dunkin donuts.
Leo-monkey@reddit
Our local Piggly Wiggly has decent donuts that are made in house, are twice as big as Dunkin's and cost less. Dunkin is worse than supermarket donuts in every way.
doonerthesooner@reddit
I used to go to the one by my office. I kept going cause they would always get my order wrong. It was kinda a game to see how badly they would mess it up.
My order was always a large black coffee.
G17Gen3@reddit
Same here. Quit fooling with them because apparently a large black coffee is too exotic an order to get right.
msh0082@reddit
Neither. I grew up in California but lived in NY for a few years and was much as I tried, I never understood the hype. Neither the coffee nor the donuts were that good.
Gallantpride@reddit (OP)
There isn't any "hype" for Dunkin. They're convenient and cheap. They're also an old, nostalgic brand. People and their family grew up on them.
CaliforniaSun77@reddit
As a Southern Californian, their donuts are not good. Their iced coffee is cheap, so I like that.
ocvagabond@reddit
None. Ever. No one willfully costs Dunkin out west.
qu33nof5pad35@reddit
I don’t go to Dunkin for anything. I’d rather support small, local businesses.
CroweBird5@reddit
Drinks. There's far better donut shops around.
CtForrestEye@reddit
D&D food is gross. The doughnuts are made several towns away, not on site. The eggs are only warmed in the microwave and are ALWAYS overcooked. If I'm there it's only to get a coffee and it's the one day a week that the real doughnut shop down the road is closed.
ArkansasTravelier@reddit
Their coffee is undrinkable unless you get some super sugary bs drink, a regular coffee tastes like dish water from dunkin, never tried their donuts.
largos7289@reddit
Drinks. Their baked stuff stopped being good back in the 90's.
BoSKnight87@reddit
I go just for their coffee. Sometimes I’ll get an a snack but usually just coffee
Ok_Ordinary6694@reddit
Only coffee. Their doughnuts are shit tier.
rawbface@reddit
The donuts suck now. The coffee is still technically coffee I suppose, but I don't get why people go bonkers over it. It's just shitty coffee.
Low costs and huge margins are the only reason dunkin is still around. It's definitely not quality.
Moist_Rule9623@reddit
The donuts have been ass for YEARS. All I get there anymore are cold brew iced coffee, iced green tea, and VERY infrequently the hash browns and/or a wake-up wrap or 2
Aggressive_FIamingo@reddit
9 out of 10 times I go there I'm getting coffee and that's it. Every once in a while I'll get a bagel too. Allegedly they've brought the french cruller back but I haven't seen it locally, if I did I'd be getting one of those every time.
CommercialFish3081@reddit
No their donuts suck since they no longer bake onsite
juviniledepression@reddit
I’d rather dunks than Starbucks if I’m traveling but frankly the local market and deli in my small New England town has better coffee and donuts for cheaper on both aspects. Seriously a fresh made donut and a large iced coffee for the same as a large iced coffee at dunks down the road.
maplesyrup5000@reddit
See when I moved to New England I thought, these people must really love donuts. Because donuts were what I associated Dunkin’ Donuts with, and New England had SO MANY DUNKIN DONUTS LOCATIONS. But turns out, it’s about the coffee. Particularly the iced coffee. To me it’s… not very good. But it is extremely popular.
kenku_gilf@reddit
I go to Dunkin only when I’m on a road trip or something very time sensitive and early like the airport. So coffee is a must and I usually grab breakfast too. If I’m getting a donut it’s because the breakfast sandwich feels too heavy for me at the moment, but I don’t want an empty stomach.
Dunkin’ is a solution to a problem, it’s not good or anything.
Top-Nectarine-835@reddit
I was in the Boston area for high school and college and people would eat the breakfast sandwiches for all three meals. We had to have an intervention with one of my college roommates because she went through a phase where she refused to eat anything else.
Auntie_Venom@reddit
I’ve only been to the one by my house once, I can’t drink coffee and I can’t eat the food because of food allergies. So I often forget it’s there even though it’s right in front of my neighborhood grocery store, but I stopped there a few months ago because my husband wanted a coffee and I didn’t want back track to Scooters or Dutch Bros. I had a matcha latte, it was good. I just need to remember it’s there…
I feel like from the recent marketing I’ve seen they’re putting a focus on promoting non-coffee drinks which is great considering I can’t drink coffee except the ads are targeted to a different demographic than me, so they aren’t memorable other than the visual of bright orange and pink for overall branding. I don’t recall what the last one I saw was for except a low or no calorie something with a lot of 80s-esq spandex. I don’t know who the hip hop or influencer people are in the commercials the last few years so their “signature drinks” are irrelevant to me so it’s not on my radar. (Ugh, that had shaking my fist at the clouds vibes - I’m not a boomer). That said, some of the Super Bowl ads are pretty funny.
The marketing works, I see teen girls outside Dunkin the most, with a focus on younger generations that don’t remember what “Time to make the donuts” means or know quality was better when they were made in the store every day. They’re tapping a younger market to gain a foothold for the future. I get it.
Now, if Metallica had a line of signature drinks, I’d be all over it… I have a whole lineup in my head, Dunkin corporate DM and I’ll sell you my ideas. 😉🤘🏻🤘🏻
notthegoatseguy@reddit
Unless I'm in an airport (lack of selection) or in actual New England (where its kind of decent) I don't go to Dunkin. The prices are way too high, and the donuts are medicore on a good day.
UnusualFruitHammock@reddit
Man you can get a breakfast sandwich, a huge coffee and some has browns for $6.
9for9@reddit
Their breakfast sandwiches suck ass though. Easily the worst available.
MrShake4@reddit
Yeah but it’s also the only one that costs $3
An actual good breakfast sandwich here is gonna be 8 or 9 dollars.
You get what you pay for and for and for that price all I’ll ask for is a sandwich that exists and has all the ingredients.
UnusualFruitHammock@reddit
You grab the sandwich, change it to sourdough add and extra egg and throw on hot sauce. Does the job for 1/3 of $6.50
notthegoatseguy@reddit
The Dunkins in my area don't allow any removals or additions as everything comes in frozen, completely prepared and they just heat it up.
UnusualFruitHammock@reddit
Huh that's weird, Indiana isn't too far from me either. I've always used the app and never had an issue.
Silently-Snarking@reddit
I’m sorry, is it supposed to be decent here? I just eat it so I don’t lose my New Englander card
NadeWilson@reddit
Their coffee also has a unique taste I've never tasted in any other coffee, and I'm not a fan of it.
CipherNoj@reddit
Honestly Dunkin services almost entirely on convenience and caffeine at this point not cuz anyone’s blown away by the donuts lol
TeamTurnus@reddit
They changed a lot of their branding to focus from Dunkin Donuts to just Dunkin, and that should be a pretty good sign. Most people seem to like them for their drinks and ubiquity.
Libertas_@reddit
I don't go to dunkin donuts. I always go to a local donut shop.
CleverGirlRawr@reddit
I don’t ever go to Dunkin.
Razoras@reddit
The donuts. I had a specific go-to. There are no Dunkins in my region unfortunately.
frisky_husky@reddit
Drinks, if at all. I lived in Boston for a decade and never got the fierce Dunkin loyalty. Their coffee is nasty, in a city with many excellent coffee shops.
bfnch@reddit
Neither.
GhostOfJamesStrang@reddit
Their donuts suck, but at least their coffee can be coffee.
inbigtreble30@reddit
I miss when the donut were good.
meowmix778@reddit
Hasn't been that way for a LONG time. Back when they made the donuts fresh on site they were better.
inbigtreble30@reddit
I feel more gray hairs sprouting as I type. We were driving to Maine a few times a year in the early 2000s which was like 10 years ago, right? Before we got Dunkin this far west.
meowmix778@reddit
I remember when they started expanding out of the North East. It felt like a novelty that our little regional chain was going around the world.
Meanwhile, in Mass you could find a Dunkin across the street from a Dunkin and around the corner is yet another one. We used to joke "Wouldn't it be crazy if they were EVERYWHERE?"
Auntie_Venom@reddit
Sooooo it’s like Waffle House in the south? One on each side of the highway overpass…
meowmix778@reddit
Pretty much, yeah. In some places, you'll find about the same client base.
Auntie_Venom@reddit
Heh! I got a kick out of your comment, I feel that so hard, at least the 90s don’t feel 10 years ago anymore for me at least.
The Dunkin’ in my neck of the woods in Kansas City has been open for 12+ years, I recall one of my friends super excited about one opening up in another part of town maybe a year or two before. I’ve only gone there once that I can recall, the matcha latte I had was pretty good. I can’t eat the food bc of food allergies or drink coffee, it doesn’t like me, so I forget it’s there despite it being right in front of my neighborhood grocery store.
9for9@reddit
Time to make the donuts.
Dan_Berg@reddit
FTFY
inbigtreble30@reddit
My waistline does not miss when the donuts were good lol
Leo-monkey@reddit
Same. We ate Dunkin every Sunday morning for breakfast growing up. They were so good. Now in the past 10+ years I've had them a few times total for nostalgia's sake and am disappointed every time.
Current_Poster@reddit
I think part of it was that when Dunk's was better, they were competing with more local bakeries and even more in-house-producing bakeries in supermarkets. (That is, the store brand was made on premises, not at a central location and shipped in). So they had to be better.
Throwawaydontgoaway8@reddit
Is it? Every time I’ve gotten it it was disappointing
5uper5kunk@reddit
“Still coffee” it’s the best thing you can say about it even though I think it might not even be true and that it is potentially coming from concentrate like a lot of hotels do now.
suzemagooey@reddit
Just an occasional plain coffeee. The food is too low in quality to consider as food.
ComfortableGoat8786@reddit
Go to a real mom and pop bakery for a real donut. Crispy Cream is NOT a real donut.
Cheap_Coffee@reddit
I don't patronize Dunkin Donuts. Both their drinks and food are terrible.
goPACK17@reddit
Breakfast sandwiches -> hash browns -> coffee -> donuts.
Outrageous-Host-3545@reddit
Nothing any more its a joke of a company now. Drinks are never filled properly or are missing ingredients etc. I've called district managers and complained more then once in store. There rewards program is dwindling to nothing now not even worth it.
DoTheRightThing1953@reddit
I'm not a coffee drinker. They used to be a donut shop and I liked their donuts but now they're just a coffee shop that sells donuts that were made somewhere else god knows how long ago.
9inez@reddit
I don’t go.
FivebyFive@reddit
Their baked goods are crap since they stopped baking in house.
SnooPineapples280@reddit
I go for their drinks
itsmyhotsauce@reddit
Drinks typically for me. But I live in the Dunkies epicenter (Boston)
Shoddy-Secretary-712@reddit
I get my kids donuts usually as a treat after grocery shopping.
I generally dont get coffee because theirs sucks.
hungaryboii@reddit
I liked their coffee, still get it once in a while but 7brew opened up closer and I like their coffee, i go to a local place for donuts now
Cheese_Boy_23@reddit
The donuts are so bad they had to the word "donuts" out of their name
inbigtreble30@reddit
Iced coffee. I make hot coffee at home but I prefer to get iced coffee to-go.
commandantskip@reddit
Same
inbigtreble30@reddit
We always had a pitcher of iced coffee in the fridge growing up because my parents were from New England, but you couldn't buy a to-go iced coffee in Wisconsin until like 2005 lol. Crazy stuff.
Yeegis@reddit
I don’t go to Dunkin at all.
CerberusInExile@reddit
Dunkin used to be ok, now they're kind of a third option after Tim Hortons or 7-11 for coffee. Their donuts are ok, but, not exactly great.
I haven't intentionally gone to a Dunkin in years. Last time was probably on a road trip and they were the only available option.
Background-Passion50@reddit
The coffee. I’m not a coffee snob but, I do drink a lot of it and Dunkin coffee is my favorite fast food coffee next to McDonalds. Now if I want classy coffee I prefer Turkish coffee.
44035@reddit
I go for the coffee.
FewRefrigerator374@reddit
Coffee. Doughnut are ok, but the drinks
Ok_Gas5386@reddit
Neither. Equally overpriced and garbage quality.
Brief-Hat-8140@reddit
Drinks
InksOwl@reddit
Large caramel iced coffee with Splenda and cream (xl hot coffee if it’s below 60°F) and a singular glazed donut every Sunday after grocery shopping.
BigPapaJava@reddit
The donuts. That coffee is far too sweet and I like a lot of sugar in my coffee.
yozaner1324@reddit
They don't have them in my state, but I've been a couple times in other states. Their coffee is some of the worst I've had, their donuts are fine.
HoyAIAG@reddit
I go as a last resort.
Careless-Internet-63@reddit
Not a single Dunkin in my state but I'll sometimes grab a donut from them when I'm in an airport that has one. I mostly avoid chains for coffee
WilcoHistBuff@reddit
I avoid Dunkin for both. It’s hard to say which I loathe more.
The last time I purchased anything from Dunkin was roughly 19-20 years ago.
shibby3388@reddit
Dunkin for the drinks. Krispy Kreme for the doughnuts.
BuildNuyTheUrbanGuy@reddit
I've never been to Dunkin
sleepygreendoor@reddit
Hashbrowns, next question
zoopest@reddit
I used to go every morning for a sandwich, now I only go when I'm on a roadtrip. Sometimes I get a donut as a treat, but usually I'm just there to use the bathroom.
WrenchyMcPiperton@reddit
I don’t think they sell anything but coffee.
TheJokersChild@reddit
Whether or not they still sell actual donuts is a point of debate.
Athrynne@reddit
I live in New England and don't go to Dunkin at all. There's a local chain that's miles better, and if I'm traveling and want a breakfast sandwich and/or coffee, I'd rather go to McDonald's.
hissyfit64@reddit
I'm in the Boston area and Dunkins is life. Most people I know go for the coffee. There are so many Dunkins here. I personally prefer Starbucks, but telling people that will leave you open to mocking.
TheJokersChild@reddit
Dunkin is kind of Boston's local hero because it started near there. I guess people go there more for the sense of ingrained pride than the quality.
No_Discipline5218@reddit
Dunkin's donuts haven't been good in decades.
kayyxelle@reddit
As a New Englander, both. The quality of the coffee can vary wildly and it’s kind of a joke that you can tell how your day’s going to go based on how your Dunkin coffee turns out
Next_Sun_2002@reddit
I don’t think I’ve ever been there. I mostly get Dunford donuts and that’s only for special occasions
nuglasses@reddit
There's a local that makes custom donuts and they are yummy 😋.
The other places, bland tasting... 😬
MBTHVSK@reddit
I think the coconut donuts taste good, but I am just as likely to go there for coffee or tea.
animepuppyluvr@reddit
Their donut holes are good enough. Sometimes people bring them into the office and I'll take a couple.
There are other places I personally go for donuts or coffee, though.
iSweatLikeKeith@reddit
Growing up in New England, it’s kind of the default coffee option. I mean, we have Honey Dew as well, but Dunkin is still the go to
TheJokersChild@reddit
New up here and I discovered Stewart's Shops. It's no Sheetz since it's missing touchscreen MTO, but I do love me their Maple French Toast coffee and an apple fritter.
Reasonable_Wasabi124@reddit
Their coffee is disgusting
Efflux@reddit
They changed their name to 'Dunkin' for a reason.
Neb-Nose@reddit
Everything about Dunkin is mediocre. I don’t like coffee, but I do like donuts. Therefore, I don’t love Dunkin.
I typically get it real crunched for time, or an airport or something like that.
LiquidityCrisis69@reddit
Yea Dunkin’ is more of a “I’m late to work and it’s better than nothing” sort of choice 😅
Still it tends to at least be reliable and, at high volume locations, pretty fast
TheJokersChild@reddit
The drinks have become popular enough that Dunkin officially dropped Donuts from its name a few years ago.
Baked goods? We've gone a long way down since this guy stopped making 'em.
hollowbolding@reddit
i go to dunkin when i want an unsweetened black iced coffee the size of my head and don't wanna fire up the mr coffee at home and only then
evaj95@reddit
I don't go there much at all. I live in North Carolina and Dunkin isn't super popular down here.
ShortRasp@reddit
America does not run on Dunkin.
BigAggravating8576@reddit
Oh drinks, hands down. I also don’t go there often for drinks but if I’m really jonesing for a donut, I am lucky to have better options nearby (southern Maine)
brzantium@reddit
Off the top of my head, I couldn't tell you where the nearest Dunkin is.
OriginalShitPoster@reddit
Strictly for their sesame bagel breakfast sandwich after tim Hortons stopped offering a sesame bagel. All other food there is the same dog shit as tim Hortons now. There is a complete lack of decent local spots in my area for fresh bagels/donuts
Frenchitwist@reddit
Lol I don’t. No offense New England, but Dunkin kinda sucks
TikiJeff@reddit
If I went, it was to pick up a box of mixed munchkins for work. Those little bites were good for morale at times.
ehunke@reddit
At this point I don't go, because where I live, we have real bakeries that do better doughnuts and better coffee then dunkin ever did. When I was a regular customer of Dunkin it was because they are the one fast food place that actually has good, black coffee, my usual order was a breakfast sandwich, when it comes to doughnuts, I really prefer one that was never frozen and trucked...
Ok_Organization_7350@reddit
We go there for coffee now, since Starbucks has been doing annoying things like taking the tables away. The kids also like to go to Dunkin Donuts for donuts.
baalroo@reddit
My kids asked to try the new Dunkin that opened up down the street when they were preteens. They threw their donuts in the trash after a bite or two.
EmmOx@reddit
Couple times I have been to Dunkin both the donutsand the coffee (well I get chai lattes) were bad. I live in Lansing, MI so I get my donuts from QD and my drinks from Biggby
Drivo566@reddit
Ill still grab a turkey sausage egg and cheese on a toasted everything bagel from them on occasion... its still good and satisfying.
However im still mad at them for going from making the hashbrowns fresh per order to making them ahead of time and keeping them in a warming box. They went from nice, hot, and crispy to warm and soggy.
ThatOneHaitian@reddit
Drinks with occasional munchkins.
ca77ywumpus@reddit
I go there for a bucket of iced coffee. Their donuts are mid at best. (Only exception is the Kosher Dunkin because they get their donuts from a different bakery and have more vegetarian sandwich options.)
manicpixidreamgirl04@reddit
I don't go to Dunkin Donuts
anneofgraygardens@reddit
I don't go there for anything.
When I lived in Chicago, the el station I used for work had a little Dunkin kiosk in it and sometimes I'd get a specific doughnut that i really liked. Dunkin is not common in California, but one opened in my town and I stopped by to get that doughnut for nostalgia's sake. They didn't have it, so I got something else. It was terrible, and I haven't been back.
SplitOpenAndMelt420@reddit
I guess it depends on where you live, but I'm in Los Angeles and there are thousands of options that are better for both coffee and donuts
baalroo@reddit
I'm in a mid-sized city, so we don't have "thousands" of better options, but it's safe to say there are considerably better options within a mile in every direction of every Dunkin here.
Most Dunkins that do open up here have historically failed within a year or two because people go once and say "nope, never again." I took my kids to the new Dunkin that opened up down the street when they were pre-teens, because they saw it when we drove by and wanted to try it. They threw their donuts away after a bite or two. Children. They threw donuts away. That's how trash they are.
brownstone79@reddit
I’m in New England and even in my small town there are many better options for both, as far as I’m concerned. They’re just not as ubiquitous.
DarthMutter8@reddit
Neither, tbh. The donuts aren't good and neither is the coffee. I'd rather go to Wawa if I need quick coffee. Donuts are worth going to an actual donut shop or bakery, which I have plenty of local options. Overall, at this point, Dunkin is more popular with drinks. Some people have an identity around it
9311chi@reddit
I’m a weirdo apparently cause I like their doughnuts. They’re just over a dollar with tax and aren’t dense.
Doughnuts at coffee shops around me are $3-4
JadieBugXD@reddit
I go to Dunkin for Baskin Robbins, never for Dunkin.
Val-E-Girl@reddit
Once upon a time, their donuts were made in-house and tasted heavenly. Today, they're not the same, likely because they are mass-produced and shipped to stores, who focus more on the coffee.
WorstDeal@reddit
Dunkin Donuts is ass
Phillyfan_10@reddit
The only time I’ll go to a chain coffee store is if I’m traveling, and there are limited other option. If I’m home, I brew my own. Cheaper and way better. If I’m traveling, I’ll hit up a local spot. Part of the fun of traveling whether for work or personal, is finding unique little local places, with their own vibes, style, and coffee.
Genuinely don’t really see a reason to go to any chain coffee stores in 2026. They typically aren’t any more convenient than other local or regional spots, coffee is worse, and typically as expensive if not more.
Anilakay@reddit
As someone from the West coast, we about Dunkin’ and go to a local donut shop. Dunkin’ Donuts is disgusting.
PinxJinx@reddit
Their everything bagels are garlic heavy so I do actually love that one baked good
Seelie_Mushroom@reddit
I get their donuts, I like them. Their drinks are eh, but Starbucks is worse.
VariegatedPlumage@reddit
Yeah I’ve been to Starbucks once in the past year.
Steamsagoodham@reddit
I don’t drink coffee I if I go there for anything it’s food and usually only if nothing else is available.
nopointers@reddit
Does anyone actually dunk their donuts in the coffee?
VariegatedPlumage@reddit
There’s a Dunkin every few blocks in my neighborhood so I sometimes get iced coffee there (maybe once every few weeks) because it’s a five minute walk, but a boba place that makes coffee drinks opened about two years ago just a little farther than Dunkin so I’m way more likely to go there because the coffee drinks are so much better.
nowhereman136@reddit
Maybe once a week I'll stop by for a sandwich and a donut. I also get a drink, but that's not why I go there
baalroo@reddit
Their coffee flavored shakes are pretty good, their donuts shouldn't even be legally allowed to call themselves donuts.
BananaJelloXlii@reddit
Neither. Too expensive. I make my own coffee and we have local donut places cheaper and better quality.
No-Profession422@reddit
I don't go, myself. My wife goes occasionally. She brought me a Sourdough breakfast sandwich from there that was pretty good.
MainelyKahnt@reddit
Biased as I'm from New England, and Dunks is basically a religion here. But I go exclusively for black cold brew coffee. And most folks I know go for the coffee/drinks not the food.
Suerose0423@reddit
Hasn’t crossed my mind. Too much sugar!
Vulpix_lover@reddit
Primarily always for a drink, but their baked goods are usually the next thing I get
Dry-Astronaut-8640@reddit
I usually only go if I’m away from home or away from a place where I don’t know of any independent local shops.
When I do go, I usually only get a cappuccino or some other beverage. I try not to eat as much sugar as the average American and I generally avoid donuts, cookies, cake, etcetera
FamousLocalJockey@reddit
Neither. Dunkin’ is the worst of the worst and I’d rather have tap water and wait to eat than have anything they serve.
HarlequinKOTF@reddit

I live in New England so there’s… let’s say competition between different dunks. There’s ones that are good and ones that are not so good.
I get dunks when i don’t want to pay >$5 for a specialty coffee. Theres one every corner so it’s just so convenient.
babyidahopotato@reddit
Yuck. Over priced low quality food and drinks. I support local shops.
RespectableBloke69@reddit
I never go there. Their donuts suck and their drinks are just milkshakes.
greeneggiwegs@reddit
Nowadays it’s not as good. I used to get coffee there, especially when I lived walking distance to one. But it’s not worth it now.
xxxjessicann00xxx@reddit
Dunkin's donuts are awful and I don't think I've ever had their coffee
TheWorldTurnsAround@reddit
I haven't gone to Dunkin in over 20 years.
Wonderful_Shower_793@reddit
I avoid Dunkin because the coffee and the donuts are terrible.
IamGleemonex@reddit
I don’t go to Dunkin period. Don’t like their donuts or their coffee.
seattlemh@reddit
I've never been to a Dunkin Donuts.
Ok-Growth4613@reddit
Its disgusting
Ok-Factor-3805@reddit
I go there because it is convenient. I will leave it at that.
New-Job1761@reddit
Only like the sausage and egg croissant. Only coffee I buy out any more in 7 Brew. Theirs is great. Dunkin has gone downhill in my area.
Sorcerous_Tiefling@reddit
The $6 breakfast meal deal is where its at. You get a breakfast sandwhich, hashbrowns, and a medium coffee. TBH the food is pretty mid but its fast and convenient and if i wake up at 2pm and want breakfast its available haha.
Traditional-Let9530@reddit
Most people go for the drinks, especially coffee and iced drinks. The baked goods are popular too, but coffee drives traffic way more.
JoshuaSuhaimi@reddit
neither, their donuts are mid at best and i don't like coffee
meowmix778@reddit
I'm not a fan personally. I don't like coffee and their baked goods/sandwiches/other drinks are just fine.
I worked at a Dunkin in high school in the before times when it was Dunkin Donuts. Even then, the coffee (especially iced) would sell like gangbusters all day and the food was just an afterthought for most orders.
lemonprincess23@reddit
Their donuts. I tried their hot chocolate once but it took a ridiculously long time to cool.
True story, my dad got me one once, and as we were pulling out we saw this guy get run over and killed on the spot. So my dad called the police and they came and interviewed him on what he saw. Took a long time to do as you can imagine, and once the officer was done we drove home and my hot chocolate STILL SCALDED MY TONGUE. Like idk what they do to their hot chocolate but they must make it hotter than the sun.
Im_Not_Nick_Fisher@reddit
The last time I went to one I was picking up my friends college aged kids from the airport. I parked at a nearby Dunkin to wait until they arrived and actually grabbed some donuts and a latte. Nothing else to really say about Dunkin. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there. But if there’s one near an airport I might stop in, if there’s nothing else around
whatevendoidoyall@reddit
I've never had their drinks and I used to get donuts and kolaches there once a week.
MrLongWalk@reddit
Both, go Sox
bangbangracer@reddit
They're donuts are actually pretty middle of the road. They aren't great, but I've definitely had worse chain donuts. They definitely are more of a coffee place.
miketugboat@reddit
Not big on coffee, but when I do get it I try to go to a local coffee spot. I do have a soft spot for the donuts though, when I was a kid a couple weekends a year my dad would go up to dunkin and get a box of donuts before anyone else had gotten up. So once a year I grab a box and bring it to work for everyone.
limbodog@reddit
I go to dunkin donuts for their speed. They've replaced mcdowells and their golden arcs in my mind.
Are their sandwiches particularly good? No.
Is their coffee good? Hah, no.
What about those hash browns? Heavens no.
But I can click 4 times on an app and then pull up and they hand me food and I leave, barely even have to slow down some times.
Hot_messed@reddit
I love the basic iced coffees, not the complex ones. A simple iced coffee with oat milk (allergies) and a flavored syrup is all I need.
And a strawberry sprinkle donut!🍩
Of course, I’ve always been a fan of gas station coffee, or any coffee that’s more expensive than a breakfast sandwich.
LABELyourPHOTOS@reddit
I'm from Mass. Both are bad. Used to be great in the 1970s.
People go there and I don't know why.
vashtachordata@reddit
I don’t go to Dunkin. Where I live there’s generally a great Cambodian owned donut/kolache shop in every neighborhood. Much better and you’re supporting a small, local business.
Greenearthgirl87@reddit
Baked goods!
thatsnotideal1@reddit
Last time I got Dunkin the doughnuts were so bad that I regretted buying them. On an expense account, so it didn’t cost me anything. Just, like, I would’ve been happier with nothing
natigin@reddit
Used to get Dunkin as a kid for their lemon filled donuts but you can’t seem to find them anymore
macoafi@reddit
Baked goods. I think I tried once to get a non-dairy chai and was told it wasn’t an option. No good vegetarian options outside the donuts either.
EmploymentEmpty5871@reddit
No, it isn't easy to get there, not worth the drive based on the price of gas today.
Bewildered_Dust@reddit
If I go, it's because it's convenient and relatively quick. The food isn't good and the coffee is either fantastic or awful, but they're everywhere and usually open.
TipsyBaker_@reddit
I go to dunkin donuts when I'm stuck at that one small airport where they are the only thing open.
K_N0RRIS@reddit
I go for the breakfast sandwiches.
MiserableMemory5149@reddit
There's a reason they've rebranded as just "Dunkin", nobody goes especially for their donuts anymore
Playful-Park4095@reddit
Coffee, and rarely. Honestly I've been to Dunkin' more in Madrid than in the US in the past 10 years or so.
I remember when they had decent doughnuts, but even then local bakeries usually blew them out of the water. Their coffee is good but not special. Some of our gas station chains have coffee that equals them and are cheaper. Coffee places like Dutch Bros are better as well, IMO.
jojewels92@reddit
Only for the donuts. I don't drink coffee (and theirs is meh) and I haven't really liked any of the other drinks they have either.
Physical-Incident553@reddit
McD coffee is better. I don’t go to Dunkin, but it’s common to see their donuts at work when someone brings them in.
Current_Poster@reddit
Personally, I don't drink coffee and a bottle of fruit juice or soda tastes the same from them as from anywhere else, so (for me) the food.
Rockglen@reddit
Their quality went downhill, so I don't really go there anymore.
If I'm tight for time and don't have another option I might grab a soda & breakfast sandwich from one.
djcurry@reddit
For there ice cream. They own baskin Robbin’s
MajorPaper4169@reddit
I don’t go there at all.
parsonsrazersupport@reddit
Being from New England, when I was younger my entire family got coffee almost every single weekday.
Strip-lashes@reddit
It's been many years since I've been to a Dunks but I remember their hash browns being super yummy
Fire_Mission@reddit
I don't really do donuts but I occasionally go for a breakfast sandwich and coffee.
Online_Discovery@reddit
I don't.
I had a free donut from them once. It was fine. I didn't feel a desire to go back
Separate-Raccoon8584@reddit
I've never tried their drinks but have heard that they're bad. The only time I've really been is when I was younger every time I visited my grandma I would walk to Dunkin Donuts and get a Boston cream donut and maybe a jelly donut.
Norwester77@reddit
No.
BoxMundane6606@reddit
The iced caramel latte is really good, I can't find another place that makes them taste as good. Star bucks caramel lattes taste like ass
CountChoculasGhost@reddit
I don’t.
The food and drinks are both pretty terrible in my opinion.
Ok_Resort_489@reddit
Coffee only. I haven't actually gotten food there since probably 2018
Sea_Analysis_8033@reddit
I can even go there anymore as of a few years ago all their stuff just makes me completely sick to my stomach for whatever reason.
Tomato_Motorola@reddit
I don't go because the food and the drinks are both nasty. I'd much rather go to one of my local places, or BoSa, an Arizona chain.
avilash@reddit
There is as reason it got re-branded to just Dunkin'.
The Donuts are the worst part. The drinks and breakfast sandwiches/ avocado toast are good (but a bit on the pricey side)
salbert@reddit
i like their breakfast sandwiches/.
UntidyVenus@reddit
I don't lol
CoffeeGoblynn@reddit
Dunkin is kinda meh. I go to a local coffee shop because they make great drinks and food and they're nice people.
MrsSnuffleupagus764@reddit
Drinks. The coffee is okay and generally consistent. They are everywhere and cheap-ish.
Roam1985@reddit
donuts/croissants/bagels/hash browns/breakfast sandwiches if I go... and really most likely just the breakfast sandwich.
CrankyOperator@reddit
Coffee.
lollipop-guildmaster@reddit
Their donuts used to be good, back when they were actually made onsite. Now I only go for the occasional matcha latte, although I mostly just make those at home since it's cheaper and I can control how much sugar goes in.
AndreaTwerk@reddit
I hate both but I would guess the drinks are 90% of their sales.
Jernbek35@reddit
I go for their coffee. There’s a Dunkin about a 2 min drive from my house.
Folksma@reddit
I go for the free coffee they sometimes give out
Neither their coffee or donuts are high quality
