Hollywood has given the green light to a film about the US-led war against Iran, focusing on the recent rescue operation of two American pilots shot down over Iranian territory.
According to Deadline, Universal Pictures and director Michael Bay—known for the 'Transformers' franchise—will work on the feature film, which will be based on a book by journalist and professor Mitchell Zuckoff, to be published by HarperCollins in 2027.
The film will recount the rescue of the pilot and systems officer of an F-15E Strike Eagle shot down in the Zagros Mountains by Iranian forces in April 2026.
"This film is about everyone who answered the call in one of the most complex, intricate, and high-risk operations in recent history," Bay stated.
The F-15 fighter jet with two occupants was shot down on Friday, April 3, by Iranian forces. The two crew members on board, the pilot and a colonel specializing in weapons systems, managed to eject.
The pilot was rescued the same day by U.S. military helicopters, while the other crew member was rescued two days later after a complex mission involving dozens of helicopters and airplanes, along with special forces soldiers.

No Hollywood movie about the Iranians killed, including the school children, I take it?

Maybe they’ll include a short scene of a drone pilot’s silent tear roll down his face as he sits in front of his computer, only realizing what he has done after the fact or some other bullshit to show how atrocities are never their fault.

Gonna be a box office success, like that Melania movie.

Gotta set the narrative quick. Future references will be from this movie.

Funny how this "rescue" happened just over the hill from the Iranian nuclear facility where they are storing their enriched uranium.
That couldn't POSSIBLY have anything to do with it, eh?

You know you're in a good spot, when the Pentagon no longer even ensures that various directly sponsored military entertainment productions are not about an ongoing conflict. Out of just the specific concern that it would seem too much like propaganda.
