Commercial Checkride Failure

I recently just failed my commercial checkride on the lazy 8 but I passed everything else, will I have to pay the full amount again just go to up and redo one singular lazy 8 because I think that’s a bit ridiculous but I understand if I have to?

If you hadn’t failed then Bubba would pay the DPE full price for the slot you now expect. Why should the DPE take less money for his/her time just because you failed?
Plus, if you hadn’t failed then Bubba could have used that time slot for his first go…
If the DPE wants to cut you a deal that’s fine, but you have no case here. Supply and demand drive the market.

This is a question for the examiner, not random people on Reddit. Each DPE is different. Some will only charge half. Some may charge a full ride. A few may charge nothing.

You realize this isn’t standardized, right? It’s usually 50% for a redo what I’ve seen out there.
The DPE will tell you.

You'll likely have to pay some retest fee that is hopefully lower than the original check ride fee.
