ok so i just moved to queens like 3 months ago and i still dont have a regular doctor here. back home i had the same doc for years and it was easy but now i dont even know where to start lol. i've been putting it off but i kinda twisted my ankle last week and also been having some weird stomach stuff going on and i reallt need to just get a proper check up done.
does anyone know a good primary care doctor in queens who actually listens and doesnt just rush you out in 5 mins? also prefferably someone who takes insurance (i have empire bcbs). any neighbourhood is fine i have a car.

The best PCP I had had an office across the street from me when I lived in Queens. He even made a house call when I had the mumps.
Oh, wait, that was over 60 years ago, so he’s probably retired by now. Never mind.

Why would you ask all Americans? Your insurance should offer a list of providers who accept the insurance, and then you can cross reference with a review site like ZocDoc.

I mean, I'm in Los Angeles. Maybe post to r/askqueens or New York or something. Most Americans aren't going to be able to help.

I looked in queens sub but they don't have health related flair
mhoner@reddit
Post anyhow. And choose the closest flair they have. This is way too narrow for this sub.
CoffeeGoblynn@reddit
You might have a better chance of getting an answer in r/queens since that's a sub for that specific part of NYC. This sub is for all of the US, so there's a much smaller chance you'll find someone from Queens who happens to have a good doctor to suggest.

Thanks but they don't have health related flair i thought my post will get deleted
CoffeeGoblynn@reddit
Oh, gotcha. I don't live in Queens so this was the first time I checked out the sub.

Well thanks for your advice posted in asknyc😊

When I lived in Queens, I used to go to Dr. Durga Maddineni in Sunnyside. She was great. You may be better off asking the Queens sub reddit. Not sure which part of Queens you will be living in and how far you want to travel. Queens is big

We’re a very large country lol I’d recommend just asking something like this on a specific subreddit but even asking in a Facebook group may be a better idea. Always research your doctor before committing as well! Most have ratings you can look up.

I've never been to Queens.

You should post in the NYC or Queens specific subreddit. You're asking a question that only .5% of the American population has any knowledge of.
