Ram has officially confirmed the RamPage is coming to the US to fight the Maverick by 2030

Looks like it will beat the Stout to the market as Toyota hasn’t officially confirmed the Stout yet.
A_Pointy_Rock@reddit
That name is bad and it should feel bad.
mr_beanoz@reddit
Name wasn't so bad, there's the "Ram" part.
Or would you rather give a number like the bigger Ram trucks, maybe Ram 1000?
SirLoremIpsum@reddit
Ram 150
ElJefeGhostbeater@reddit
Their mini-truck from the 80s/90s was a Ram 50, twin of the Mitsubishi Mighty Max
GTOdriver04@reddit
Dakota was RIGHT THERE!
Noobasdfjkl@reddit
Why comment if you’re not going to read even the title of the article?
GTOdriver04@reddit
I saw that after. My mistake. Happy the proper name is returning in the lineup.
KingMario05@reddit
Dakota is back too lol
XSC@reddit
North and South Dakota were right there!
KingMario05@reddit
"But heritage!"
-Stellantis
NeatlyCritical@reddit
The Dodge Plymouth Eagle Stealth Diplomat Neon
narwhal_breeder@reddit
Could have called it the Dakota and Bismarck
scoobyless@reddit
You do know that there was a Rampage in the 1980s, right?
errie_tholluxe@reddit
Which is exactly why they're using it again. And it was a fairly decent truck too for the time. Kind of a mini El Camino
twiggymac@reddit
The L body rampage is honestly sick as hell. It had so much hauling capacity compared to the much larger Elco, and had access to GLH and GLHS drivetrain swaps (along with some VW swaps thanks to the earlier L bodies using VW 1.7s). Extremely cool cars and you basically never see them.
I_amnotanonion@reddit
There’s a guy in my area with a turbo rampage and he whips that thing everywhere. It’s a lot of fun to see and hear
twiggymac@reddit
Yeah and an srt-4 swap is pretty cake nowadays too.
Only Mopar I ever really vibed with are the ones that are basically European shitboxes, I really should evaluate what that means about myself.
Diogenes256@reddit
That would be tasty.
I_amnotanonion@reddit
I think that means that you like French cars
twiggymac@reddit
Let's woah our horses, there, we don't need to get carried away...
I_amnotanonion@reddit
Enjoy your pencil thin mustache, Pierre
footpole@reddit
Fairly decent is a glowing endorsement if I ever heard one.
A_Pointy_Rock@reddit
Yes, but that was its own thing and also it was a Dodge and the 80s.
This is either a Ram Rampage or a Ram Page.
withsexyresults@reddit
It captures the road rage levels of their drivers
Justame13@reddit
I'm wonder if it will have the "a 12 pack fits perfect in the center console" feature as well.
Or maybe just a sixer.
TalbotFarwell@reddit
A fifth of Wild Turkey?
Justame13@reddit
Thats awful classy.
Maybe swing by a military base and get a bottle of Military Special Whiskey.
Which does exist and if you haven't had the "pleasure" is exactly what you imagine.
rootbeer123@reddit
Thanks for resurfacing that trauma. I never understood the retirees that piled shopping carts full of that paint thinner in the class 6.
Justame13@reddit
Some people start at 18 and don't see a reason to stop at 60.
lunaticfridgeprime@reddit
But it appeals to the typical 6 beers deep by noon, behind on child support, 20% APR RAM customer.
Hywelthehorrible@reddit
They're doing Jeep Compass for trucks. Also why is this sub being taken over by so much truck content.
peakdecline@reddit
Its not. Its just Ram had a big press event and therefore that's the news right now.
Travbasco@reddit
Rampage isn't a new name either.
t0dax@reddit
Can’t wait to see these listed for $60k in my area.
vhalember@reddit
Since it isn't being released until 2030, I'd wager we'll see some for $70k+
The article claims under $40k target price, but we all know that's a stripped model which can only be found if you order it directly... and not include Ram's ridiculous $2,595 destination fee.
Justanotherturdle@reddit
like... physically?
LeMadChefsBack@reddit
No notes on a hybrid version or estimated mpg. I assume one of the big drivers in this segment is the fuel mileage.
tekniklee@reddit
People been begging for small pickup trucks for years but look how fast things can change when big truck sales crater
Diogenes256@reddit
I saw one of these in Mexico and it is a very nice looking truck. Definitely on to consider if the quality is there.
LowSkyOrbit@reddit
'Ram Ramington the 3rd' would have be a better name than 'Rampage.'
I decided to look at old Chrysler names, and in no order these are all better:
KingMario05@reddit
Good segment, good entry. But my God, it's sad that the Rampage name will be wasted like this.
dang_it_bobby93@reddit
The rampage was the equivalent to the El Camino back in the day.
timetravelerfrom2027@reddit
Nowhere in the article is the name capitalized like in the title of this post. It’s just Rampage, not RamPage. Whew.
HoboHillsCoffeeCo@reddit
So it's a Ram Rampage?
DrSpaceman575@reddit
In France they call it the Rampagé
Buc_ees@reddit
I still think Ram brand should just go back to Dodge brand and use Ram as their logo like it was before.
e2hawkeye@reddit
I think the same, but the reason they rebranded was so they would always have the option to sell their profitable truck operations independently of the struggling Dodge brand.
m0viestar@reddit
What meaningful difference would that make? That's essentially what they are doing now. You still go to the Dodge dealer to buy your Ram and have it serviced.
Mercurydriver@reddit
I’m glad there’s going to be more competition in the compact truck market. I feel like it’s so underrated right now. The Maverick sells like crazy, and almost every one that bought one loves their baby truck, even if it’s not this huge badass brodozer.
Now hopefully Stellantis is smart and actually makes quality and reliability a priority. I’m not buying a truck if I think it’ll be dead around the 100k mile marker.
MechMeister@reddit
The Maverick will still be better. No hybrid offering from Ram and even if they did no one trusts a Stellantis hybrid.
Only thing they can do is discount them below $30k and offer an off road model that is taller than an Outback Wilderness or Maverick Tremor.
beermaker@reddit
Stellantisn't.
CorrectCombination11@reddit
Will they get Elliot PAGE to be in the ads?
Phranc68@reddit
So dumb. If they are lucky, they will be 10 years after the Maverick was announced and 8 after it hit the market.
Then to choose name that is so bad. Just choose Dakota, or Ram 50, or anything better.
Stellantis going to Stellantis I guess.
0peRightBehindYa@reddit
Maybe Ford will finally do a Maverick ST now.
LowSkyOrbit@reddit
What the Lobo should have been
koopa00@reddit
Ram Rampage? Resurrecting the name would make sense if these trucks were still under Dodge, but it doesn't sound right under Ram.
With that said, more smaller trucks is a good thing.
mist_kaefer@reddit
The Ram Page? The Ram RamPage? I’m confused.
Dgp68824402@reddit
arcticrobot@reddit
What a corny name.
Mercurydriver@reddit

mr_beanoz@reddit
This will be the same Rampage sold in Brazil, right?
MortimerDongle@reddit
Same basic vehicle, I'm sure the US won't get the diesel
Pkock@reddit
Would prefer they went back to Dakota and left the Rampage name for whatever shit SRT group cooks up to stomp the Maverick Lobo.
kograkthestrong@reddit
I like it
DoGooderMcDoogles@reddit
Awesome, I’m very interested in the Dakota. I owned a 1500 and found it just too big for my use. Been looking at midsize trucks tho. I hope they keep the interior quality high because I loved that in the 1500.
I’m hopeful but would be surprised if they included an air suspension option as well. Absolutely love the ride quality of the air suspension.
