Budget friendly offset chain ring for BBS02 conversion? (re: Lekkie Bling Ring?)

I’ve decided on the BBS02 for my two bikes (Specialized Expedition and Expedition Sport), but from what I’ve read I will probably need an offset chain ring.
The Lekkie Bling Ring (42T) seems highly recommended but it’s over $100/ea and I need two of them (for two bikes).
Are there any other budget friendly options? I’m only using my bike every couple of weeks and I don’t use it for commuting so I’m thinking something cheaper might work?
Can anybody give me any advice?
(I’m from the united states if that makes a difference…)

Checkout Gustavo narrow wide chainrings on the Ali site. They are much lighter than Bafang stock. Best to install motor first and see how much offset is needed.

How do I measure to see how much of an offset that I need?

Used the stock chainring at first and do your installation. Shift to the middle of your 7-speed ring (4th gear). If your chain line is in a straight line you are good. If you look from the rear forward and the chain deflects considerably to the right, an offset ring will get it closer to straight. With a 7 speed cassette, you will likely be OK.

You want the chainring teeth to be lined up with the middle of the cassette. So that when you're on middle cog the chain is straight.

what makes you think you need a offset chainring? those bikes seem to have a 8-9 speed casette. im pretty sure there are no issues unless you have 11-12 speeds. and even with 11 speed casette im doing just fine. just dont shift into the 2 slowest cogs - never need them anyways with the motor assistance.

I’m not sure if I need one yet but mine is a 7-speed. I was just preparing in case I find out that. Ido need one.
