Thought this was a fever dream for years. Did anyone else watch the alien disclosure episode of Dukes of Hazard?

That looks like another mysterious alien creature I've seen...

Thanks, Paul Rudd.

One of the last times I took mushrooms was way back in 92 or so. Someone turned on Dukes of Hazzard on my little 14" TV (it was color and I had cable!)
I was enthralled. Cooter really freaked me out. I saw no space aliens, at least on the TV.

Lol. I do not remember this but I assume this is when they jumped the shark?
Fritzo2162@reddit
When Bo and Luke came back, they were REALLY out of ideas.
UraTargetMarket@reddit
Came back? I didn’t know they left….unless it was on that alien’s spaceship. I must have dipped out of this show early.
ImaSource@reddit
Vaguely remember this. Wasn't there also one with a shark in a lake?
SillyCygnet@reddit
Maybe it was Happy Days

Fonzie jumps the shark?
westsidechip@reddit
Yes, the Fonz jumps the shark. It's were the phrase came from..
Tralfaz1138@reddit
I mean, Mork started out in Happy Days (two episodes) so...why not an alien in Dukes of Hazard.

I don’t remember the alien on Dukes, but I do remember Hulk Hogan and William “Refrigerator” Perry guest starring on A-Team

The best one was Boy George on the A-Team fighting rednecks. You can still find the commercials for it on YouTube.
AEW_SuperFan@reddit
Boy George is so high during that episode.
HackedCylon@reddit
Lemme guess ... did this episode come out around the time of ET?
MachineGunTeacher@reddit
According to IMDB, this episode was 1985.
CardMechanic@reddit
TIL TDoH lasted until 1985.
originalchaosinabox@reddit
Final season. The show had gone way downhill by then.
CountHonorius@reddit
DId they introduce the alien to the pleasures of Skoal?
ActuaryFew6884@reddit
Yes, it was one of the very last episodes of the show. I actually remember it. I found out later that the short guy as the alien was in a lot of other shows/movies (like the opening scene in ALF and the alien in Meatballs II)
jseger9000@reddit
God that show was awful.

What was fun is when the car would jump and you would see stuff fall off of it. But then it would land and keep going.
warrenao@reddit
There were something like a half dozen duplicates of that car waiting to be used after the sundry "YEEEE-HAWWWWW" jump scenes, for exactly this reason.
Oiggamed@reddit
Still is. But there was some slim pickin’s back them for quality tv.
jseger9000@reddit
My brother and I used to love the show when it was new, though I'm pretty sure we were both out by this alien episode in season seven.
First-Ad-7960@reddit
There were seven seasons of that?
jseger9000@reddit
It was the seventh and final season. Shit stayed on the air back then. CHiPs ran for six seasons, The Love Boat for ten!
Julian_Thorne@reddit
Sounds like that's when they jumped the shark
HackedCylon@reddit
Jumped the General Lee over a shark? I'm torn as to whether I gotta see that or never want to see that.
