What would be your very first upgrade on this 1440p build?

Hey everyone,
I recently put together this build and it has been absolutely flawless. I mainly play a huge variety of games at 1440p (2K).
Since I don't actually need to change anything right now, I'm just curious from an enthusiast perspective: if you had to pick one single component to upgrade next on this setup, what would it be and why?
My Specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5070 12GB
- RAM: 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MT/s CL30
- Storage: 1TB Lexar NVMe Gen4 SSD
- Cooler: 360mm Liquid AIO
- PSU: Corsair 850W
Curious to hear your thoughts!

you said you play a huge variety of games. that to me sounds like you would benefit from a larger ssd, once your current one starts running low on space.

definitely more storage lol
idk how you survive with 1T for windows, apps, games, etc...
I have nvme for windows and apps, 1T for games and 1T for recordings and I'm gasping for space because everything is massive nowadays.

GPU. 70 class doesn't have enough VRAM for 1440p. I push the limits of the 5080 at 1440p.

Add more storage and maybe work on the aesthetics. There isn't much u should do with your core system. It's good as it is.

Really nice machine!
MORE NVME, i can never go back to Sata SSDs.
I have a similar specs, i'm using all 3 NVME slots and i love it!
I just wanted to add more, everytime i see 3GBP/s coping stuff around is magical to me.

1TB -> 2TB

probably an aad like the 990 pro/ sn850x/ kc3000 with dram, 2tb version. though the 5070 ti is insane for 1440p, and the 9850x3d is an equally insane cpu for gaming
FatalGamer1@reddit
That’s a very solid build but if I had to change something, I’d get the 5070 Ti and then you’ll have build that will play games comfortably in 4K as well.
I’ve got the 7800X3D, 5070 Ti, 32GB (2X16GB) CL30 6000 RAM, 2TB SSD, 850W PSU, Thermalright Phantom Spirit dual tower CPU Cooler, NZXT H3 Flow Case with 2 X 140mm front intake fans, 2 X 120mm top exhaust fans and 1 X 120mm rear exhaust fan.

If you have a lot of games/files, you might start running short on SSD space. A good 2TB Gen 4 SSD is the only thing that needs an upgrade, but prices are high now, I wouldn't be in a rush.

I would pick the component that would provide the biggest improvement to my workloads, or the component that is causing noticeable issues.
If it's absolutely flawless now, then I'm not sure why this exercise exists. The market will likely look very different by the time you actually benefit from an upgrade.

Only the gpu once you feel the need to upgrade. I own that gpu and it's the only thing I'll change, besides my meager 16gb RAM, once I can't path trace with it. I wouldn't touch other components like mb/cpu
