Frodo is not Gen X

You have to look at it holistically. GenX starts off as kids with Bilbo Baggins dreams of adventure, fighting dragons, and retiring to a comfortable life, we grow up to face the Frodo reality that were doing other folks dirty work because we can get stuff done and make it up as we go along, we end of with a finger or two missing, poor, too damn tired to enjoy the fruits of our labor, and end up in the Undying Lands(otherwise knows as working at Home Depot)

I saw the scene where Gollum fights Frodo and falls into Mt Doom without seeing the rest. So I read through the Hobbitt, the LOTR, and The Sillmarilion all while knowing how the ring gets destroyed.
