Would this able to be bent back into shape or do I need a new rear wheel? Barely clipped a curb.

Is that rim aluminium? Much less tolerant to being bent than steel.
Even if it is steel, how confident are you that you can reshape it so the tyre bead will be securely held?
You made an expensive mistake. Don't make a much more expensive one by risking a blow out at speed.

Never even blew the bead, it's a carbon steel rim. If I don't feel confident I'm sure a shop could do it for a decent price

If it's steel -almost guaranteed not carbon, it corrodes really fast- 2 things: make very small adjustments and let it take a couple hours - once you go past the original plane to where it flares out you've moved the entire rim out and it will always lose pressure.
2nd: that was one fucking hell of a 'graze'

Yeah it was probably going 20 through a crosswalk

New rim at minimum
Fantastic_Key_8906@reddit
Need new wheel, or at least the rim part.

New wheel if you value your life
Relative-Display-676@reddit
New wheel time.
RealityEfficient1569@reddit
Oh ya it could be bent back into shape but it will be barely rideable after that..
slacknsurf420@reddit
take a ball hammer and and start tapping the flat inside top of the rim then work the lip you'll need vice grips to flatten the lip
kernal42@reddit
I've hammered back a couple wheel dings...but this dent is huge. I'd trash it.

Do you know what happens when a tire unseats from the rim? The inner tube violently expands through the crevice. It expands so much that it will wedge itself between the bike frame and instantly bring the wheel to a halt. High probability of crashing.
This does not look safe to repair to me. A home repair will leave the wheel with a major inconsistency and cause thumping. You may as well get a professional estimate to repair; they may also tell you it should be replaced.
kkmop@reddit
I wouldn’t try to bend that one back. You’re risking a way more painful and expensive crash later
chuckwolf@reddit
Sorry about your ruined rim but this is what happens when you don't run proper pressure in your tires. if that had been the full 20 PSI the curb wouldn't have come close to the rim.
StonedPanda42@reddit (OP)
I hit the curb on the side of the rim I didn't run over a curb, psi was irrelevant in the situation.
Ohm_Slaw_@reddit
Well, I don't know if you can fix it. Me personally I would try. If it doesn't work then you aren't any further behind than you are now.
But you could have a tire problem, which would leave you stranded.
jostby01@reddit
You aren’t fixing that. But you can try to make a lier out of me. Good luck because I feel your pain.
Laserdollarz@reddit
I did that once. I bought the metal wolfstooth tool to try to bend it back and I fucked up the rim even further.
So I learned how to build a wheel next lol

I think you can fix it. First use a mallet to true up the rim where it's bent. Then use an adjustable wrench or something similar to straighten the ding. It might take some time and patience to get it to true up properly, but I think you can do it.

I was hoping that was the case, it didn't even puncture the tube or cause loss of air. I got the bike literally today 😭 9 miles on the odometer when it happened.
Individual_Image_601@reddit
You could probally hammer it back into shape
