Came across this listing and I’m really interested in this especially seeing the breakdown of what was replaced on the boat.

Two questions:
- How does she look for the price. I’ve been doing my research and this looks a little high for the model but like I said it looks really clean.
- Right now I’m trying to get my funds together, so I may have to wait until next season. I’m assuming she’ll still be available by then, but has anyone here bought during the off-season? By the end of winter I should have the money ready.
I’m new to the whole buying process, so this is all pretty exciting for me. How does buying in the off-season usually work? I’d assume that anything listed during winter probably wouldn’t sell until summer, but I’m not really sure how it goes.

That a good looking boat. All that work on the motor can either mean someone was diligent in the maintenance. Or chasing an issue that might still exist.
But thats all mute, because you cant buy a boat without money. First get money, then start looking for boats. Save up 30k for a 20k boat.

Okay so roughly 10k extra or should I just be at 30% for other price ranges?

That differs per boat. My current boat was around 40k and only needed bottom paint. But I ended up replacing all the shore power components and all marine electronics. Spend around 6k. Previous boat was 4500, and I spend 4000 on that. I've seen free boats cost 30k. It just always costs a lot.

No comment on this specific boat but I sailed a 270 from this era quite a bit and loved that boat, sails well and held up to a lot of abuse, I know people who cruised them even. Was totally raceable. Parts were easy to get, hopefully still continues to be the case.

Seems high for what it is. I joined a group on the book of faces app that is sailboats - for sale by owner only. They have a lot of boats that I never see on boat trader and the prices seem a lot lower.

This is why I posted. I had no idea. I’ll check that out.
