I’m not sure which build I should get

I currently have the option the get one of those builds. They’re both the same price and i mainly want to use it for future proof gaming. This is the first time in my life where I can comfortably afford a really good rig.
Option 1:
- AMD Ryzen 9 9950X
- Asus TUF GAMING OC GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB
- Corsair Dominator Titanium 96 GB(2 x 48 GB)DDR5
- Asus ProArt X870E-CREATOR WIFI ATX AM5
- Crucial T705 1 TB M.2-2280 PCle 5.0 X4 NVME SSD
- Samsung 990 Pro 4 TB M.2-2280 PCle 4.0 X4 NVME
-CPU Cooler: Asus ProArt LC 420 107
-be quiet! Straight Power 12 1500 W 80+plat
-Asus ProArt PA602 ATX Mid Tower Case
Option 2:
- AMD 7800xd3
-Asus ROG Strix RTX 4090 OC
- G.Skill 32GB 7200 HZ DDR5
- ASUS X670 E Gaming Mainboard
- 5TB SSD
- TRYX Panorama AIO
- 1000 Watt Platinum Netzteil
- Lian Li Strimer
- HYTE Y70 touch Case +14 argb fans
What do you guys think about and which one would you get? As i said same price.

Option 1
Spaetzlekoenig@reddit (OP)
Thank you for the insight!
Riipp3r@reddit
What is your budget? Because maybe neither is the best option
Spaetzlekoenig@reddit (OP)
The budget is 3500-4000€
Riipp3r@reddit
Gpu should be around half your budget typically so if the 4090 in your locale lines up with that it's a decent enough value. Keeping in mind if it's prebuilt, the overhead and extra costs
Spaetzlekoenig@reddit (OP)
Every 4090gpu listing I found is 2.300 upwards so that checks out
Riipp3r@reddit
Are you sure these are legitimate listings on legitimate sites? Because that seems insane
Spaetzlekoenig@reddit (OP)
They’re both used listings. I went to both sellers and tested the pc’s since I’m not looking to get scammed
Riipp3r@reddit
Ah that makes sense. That is actually a fair price.
ultrafrisk@reddit
the x3d chip is a better gaming chip. option 2 is superior
Riipp3r@reddit
I automatically read option 1 as 9950x3d
Spaetzlekoenig@reddit (OP)
It’s just the 9950X
No_Spare1827@reddit
I mean option 1 is the better overall build so that one
Spaetzlekoenig@reddit (OP)
Actually not a bad idea. I think 64 would be nice if I’m going for an op build anyway. 96 is overkill in any case I think
No_Spare1827@reddit
Oh yeah I am a big fan of 64gbs for sure, and funny enough I use a 9950x I traded in my 9800x3d for it since I use monitors it helps a ton with multitasking
Spaetzlekoenig@reddit (OP)
Oh that’s interesting. I have multiple monitors but my multitasking is only like have a browser or discord on my second monitor. I guess that’s not a big deal.
No_Spare1827@reddit
Yeah with 2 monitors its what ever but once u get that third the strain on the GPU and CPU are drastically increased because ur background tasks like chomw or discord become active tasks and get constant refreshes and update which the CPU manages
Spaetzlekoenig@reddit (OP)
I didn’t know that. I only ever used 2 monitors due to limited space. So nr1 is more future proof in that regard. Maybe there will be a 3rd one in the future!

Your "really good rig" only stays "real good" until you read something on Reddit that seems to indicate that you could have got something better!
It is a sad fact of computing life that there is always something better on the horizon but, as always, it's horses for courses
For instance:
The ryzen 7800x3d is an absolute monster for high fps gaming whereas the R9 9950X with its 16 cores is perfect for high workloads like 3d rendering and video rediting
The RTX 4090OC is probably a slightly better GPU for gaming, although you probably wouldn't notice much difference in real life situations
Only certain thing is that next year will bring something bigger, brighter and (perhaps) better
Spaetzlekoenig@reddit (OP)
Thank you very much. Option 1 was actually a 3d rendering/ai workstation which is being sold by a professional. You are right but never getting anything because something better might come is kind of an endless cycle :)
quickray2@reddit
both are excellent, option 2 probably as I think the case looks better (the 9950x wont hold you back if that's a concern)
Spaetzlekoenig@reddit (OP)
Thank you. Option 2 looks better in my opinion but has a little less capacities. I was actually thinking about the 9950x being an issue
quickray2@reddit
option 1 is more "valuable" but option 2 will beat it in gaming.
ultrafrisk@reddit
option 2 for gaming
SmokBarrage@reddit
top one is worth more
2nd one is probably faster for games
Bichaelcycle@reddit
option 2
Pikolow1212@reddit
Option 1 any day imo
Dull_Fudge3802@reddit
option 3, neither
Dull_Fudge3802@reddit
option 2.
