Dog Boarding

Howdy, folks!
This may be an impossible ask, but was hoping for some recs for some boarding facilities for my dog as I plan summer vacations. Unfortunately, we're not really well setup for a dog sitter or we'd go that route. Ideally it would fit the following criteria:
- Good for a somewhat anxious large dog (not aggressive, just needs her space and attention)
- Has a healthy balance of play time with small groups, alone time, and walks/outdoor time
- Is in Dallas proper; I live in the Lakewood area, tried Yardstick once and was not impressed. Don't mind driving across the highway for somewhere good, but would prefer to not have to drive out to the 'burbs if possible.
Would love to hear about y'all positive experiences!

I'm at sitter in Lakewood, but probably not available for your dates. However, I'd be happy to give you some recommendations of sitters that will let your dog out during the day, or bring the dog to their house. For boarding, my neighbor loves Urban Paws. Other places that were recommended on a Lakewood Facebook group are Happy Tails, Barking Hound Village and All American Pet resort. JD Kennels is also great and they will pick up and deliver the dog so you don't have to drive out there.

Not in town, but if you are ever traveling east- happy tails farm stay. I think they may do pickup (and charge some fee).

Is a sitter a possibility if the dog stays at their house instead of yours? This is what I’ve started doing since it gives my dog more personalized attention. Most sitters have one dog, but I’ve found some that don’t have any of their own, which ends up being easier for them given the size of my pooch.
For actual boarding places, I’ve liked All American Pet Resorts, but their play groups tend to be massive in a small area(at least compared to what my dog would need.) Their solo play options tend to just be a small side yard and they let them out with nothing to really do. It’s also more than hiring a personal sitter at my house or theirs, so I stopped going

The sitters I've talked have day jobs that will leave my dog alone (and likely kenneled) all day. I work from home so she's very used to having the space and backyard to move around, though she is kennel trained as well. Just avoiding leaving her locked up for 8+ hours a day if I can avoid it.

used to drive for deliveries around lakewood all the time and saw a few places that looked decent. there's this spot near white rock lake that always had dogs outside playing in small groups - seemed pretty chill and not overcrowded like some of the bigger chains 🐕
my neighbor has an anxious golden and she swears by doing a trial day first before leaving them for longer. most good places will let you do that so you can see how your dog reacts to the environment. also worth asking about their daily schedule - some places are better at the individual attention thing than others 💯

Thank you! We would absolutely do a trial day before leaving her for any extended period of time.

Urban Paws is the best! My dog is so excited to go there and even tries to sneak into my car to get extra daycare days in.
