[Video] James May rates Tesla's diner! (honest review)

James May found himself in Los Angeles driving the Tesla Model Y Performance. Naturally, he decided to charge up at Tesla’s diner… 😅
From video description: “James and Lucy avoid using a Cybertruck to review Tesla's self-driving tech on the way to Elon's restaurant. Should a diner, the bedrock of American culture, be managed by a tech billionaire or a cool chick on roller skates?”

...is 20 mcnuggets that much of a ridiculous order?
austic@reddit
For americans no....
bobsvaginplsbabyjirl@reddit
For anyone under 250 lbs, yes.
AleksibIsHot@reddit
I smash 20 nuggets pretty often at McDonalds and I’m tall and skinnyish
Magma151@reddit
That was pretty typical in college for me.
Intelligent_Gur_3632@reddit
I could easily smash 20 nuggets.
Aceman1979@reddit
It’s a grotesque quantity.
Shaarr@reddit
I'm always sad when someone comes to America and tries x thing for the first time and the place they go to is the absolute worst example. All I can say is I hope Lucy tries a better diner out and a proper drive in.

They’ve been to La multiple times, I think they’ve been to in and out and ‘proper’ diners before lol.
Shaarr@reddit
Yeah they have, I'm just talking about Lucy saying she hasn't been to a diner or a drive-in before.
Muted-Sky1023@reddit
Classic May—he’ll roast the hotdog while secretly admiring the tech. And Lucy’s clearly the real MVP for dragging him out of his Luddite comfort zone.
Unusual-Art2288@reddit
Did watch the video, who was the person in the back of the car?
EuanReid@reddit
Looks like Gus, one of the co-founders (along with Hugh and James)
Sir_Lanian@reddit
I really don't support any money going towards a Nazi. Not watching the video. And I usually watch all his videos. The last time I got this concerned about James content was last Christmas' AI generated advert.
mclarenf101@reddit
Well, James owns a tesla, sooo.
Sir_Lanian@reddit
Yeah but he explained about his reasoning recently. Something about engineering. I dont see a decent excuse or reasoning behind this stunt. Its a disgrace to be honest for supporting a known nazi.
mclarenf101@reddit
I feel like spending tens of thousands on a car owned by Elon is supporting him way more than spending 58 bucks on some of his food.
Magma151@reddit
So it's okay to spend tens of thousands on a Nazi car and speak good things about it, but it's evil to spend $40 at a Nazi diner and talk shit about it. I'm not following the doublethink here but you do you.
Sir_Lanian@reddit
James and co willingly stepped into a known nazi establishment. Whats there not to understand?
Magma151@reddit
Pretty much everything lol
Sir_Lanian@reddit
I didn't say i agree with his reasonings for the car.
ProtoplanetaryNebula@reddit
Each to his own. My neighbour has a Nazi car and nazi clothing but i don’t mention the VW and Hugo boss origins when i see him.
bwoah07_gp2@reddit
What on earth are you on about? You're calling James that??
Sir_Lanian@reddit
No, but he and his team shouldnt be promoting anything elon musk. Even if they say the place is bad, its still press. Bad press is better than no press. Dont give Elon anything. This mindset also includes ALL TWITTER USERS.
Sir_Lanian@reddit
Delete twitter accounts. No need to be there. I migrated to Blue Sky two hours after the nazi salutes. Im flabbergasted people didnt follow suit. Madness.
iHoller913@reddit
Is this a Hakeem Jeffries joke
Public-Guidance-9560@reddit
That hotdog was properly sad.
The whole edifice really sums up Elon and Tesla to be honest.
WhatRUaBarnBurner@reddit
Lucy is really converting our James.
