That's what hurt the most, being born with less thinking power, but with enough awareness that you see how shitty your life is, different from your grunt collegues.

At least autistics often became a savant in a thing or two. Being a mediocre or below average goober with no social skills makes me wonder if I should have survived instead of being dropped into a mountain or something when I was a kid, think the old ones were right about filtering people

This is just modern societal conditioning that makes everyone think they should be some sort of prodigy.

The spartans were who they were because of the helots toiling for them. Medieval knights were dependant on peasants. Modern scientists and gifted people are nothing without the society supporting them, consisting mostly of mediocre people.

Embrace your mediocrity, not everyone has to be some sort of elite.
