Is the area around Kessler/Lake Cliff Park safe for a woman to work in?

I’m a girl back in town for college, and I got a job around the Lake Cliff Park area. I was wondering if it’s safe. I’m from a little bit farther outside the downtown area, but everyone always tells me how dangerous the areas under I-30 are, and I was wondering if that’s true. Should I worry about my safety if I take the job?

Im curious what the job is. Are you outside working construction or in a shop or business?

Around the lake is fine. Avoid the disc golf course area and going down Marsalis. And anything to the West towards the hospital is okay as well.

Yeah honestly that area is coming up it should be nice lots of e bikes and stuff too for the darker spots but those are out of the way too but I've always felt safe there and as a grown man I take the dark alley shortcuts on foot and never see anyone else but ofc don't chance it just saying to advocate for the area

You’re like, in one of the best neighborhoods close to central Dallas lol.
I’ve seen some cheap quadplex rentals right around the lake but it’s been a minute. Anywhere in Dallas you’ll clearly want to observe your surroundings but you’ll be fine.

I don’t know, I’m still scared. Is it as bad as, say, farther south into Oak Cliff, or is it a bit better than that? I live in some of the more low-income parts of the Mesquite and Garland area, and I’m just worried about how urban crime differs from crime in the suburbs.

bishop arts and kessler park are pretty popular now so you’ll probably be fine, especially during normal work hours

Could you DM me, and I'd give you a bit more details? People are saying that the exact area I'm in is a bit sketchy.
