What are some good local parks for toddlers who fall often while learning to walk?

My son is really taking off and I want to take him somewhere safe to stretch his legs. He’s falling and flopping around while he learns lol so someplace with a nice soft padded area or some well maintained grass (no dog poop / pee.) Recommendations highly appreciated!

Cottonwood in Richardson. Gated playground with a sort of rubbery bouncy flooring

Windhaven Park! They have a good bouncy turf to walk on and also a kiddy playground for the toddlers.

I would add to do take care to keep eyes out for dog poop as this park is right next to Windhaven dog park.

Why? Do folks bring their dogs to 💩 on the play area?? Or does it wash down there??? That seems like an issue P&R needs to know about and solve!

Just saying that because the dog park is nearby, there are a lot more people walking their dogs from the parking lot and around the playground before or after going into the dog park. I’m meaning the grassy areas between the parks because sometimes toddlers wander off the playground area.

Addison circle park has nice grass and not many bugs. That’s where my little one would practice walking

Only other park I'd mention is Klyde Warren and some of the other DT Dallas parks. KWP has a play and water area that's really fun, and there's one down the street where the slide looks like an elephant. Plano's parks by compassion are competent but boring. No native plants, etc, boring sidewalks boring seating, etc.

Plano has a lot of parks and I imagine the ones with playground would have soft padded ground.
In terms of grass, since there is a rumor of tick issues, I would stay on the concreted, padded ground.

Jack Carter Park is a community park. It has an inclusive playground designed to allow children ages 2-12 of all abilities to play together and engage a range of movement, climbing, tactile, visual and auditory play equipment. Other park amenities are a pond, 2 picnic tables, sand volleyball, trails and restrooms. Parking is provided.

Seconded! Best park for toddlers because nothing is too high or difficult.

Haggard Park is perfect scale for littles. Besides the playground and walking in the grass, they can climb the steps/walk the ramp up to the bandstand, see the old train (and go inside and see the scale model, and visit story time on Fridays), and if you’re lucky see the ducks (no bread feeding please). Then go across the street to Georgia’s and share a cup of flavor of the day soft serve made with produce they sell.
