Makerspace

Is there a makerspace in Plano that offers 3D scanning capabilities?
Also, how does access typically work at these makerspaces? Is it usually a pay-per-visit setup, or do they require a longer-term membership commitment?

What do you need scanned? What kind of quality?

Ah mine won't be good enough. Some of the new iPhones and iPads have lidar for scanning. May be easier than going to DMS

I’ve seen 3D printers at some Plano libraries but not sure about scanning.
Take a look at the Dallas Makerspace website. They have a lot of machines. You typically have to pay a membership (maybe they have short term passes, not sure) and then some machines require additional hourly fees. I know the lasers do. (They’re located in Carrollton area I believe, not too much of a drive from Plano.)

Pretty close to West Plano. I'm sure they have a scanner somewhere. There are some dudes who are really good at photogrammetry too.

I visited the one in Richardson just off Plano Rd. Not far, and they give tours once a week so you can check out what they have. They have some great 3d printers plus excellent computer access.
