Does anyone know of places I could go to in Plano in the future to make friends my own age and meet new people? A lot of my friends from school moved away and I want to socialize more. In the summer I want to visit Legacy Hall. I don’t have many ideas beyond that.

Madness games and comics has game tables I. The back and welcome all kinds of games from board games to card games and more.
Downtown Plano is almost always having some type of event going on. Plus Theres coffee shops that always have people in them also.
Grandscape in Frisco isn’t that far from Plano and is a great place to hang out.
Join a sports league. There’s tons of adult leagues that are local.

I'd tell my kids (hs and college) to go to https://madnessgames.com/events-calendar/ and see what's poppin. Find some games they like and get playing

Second this. I live in downtown and have met so many interesting people while taking a walk or just hanging out. It’s a rare atmosphere where it’s not creepy to talk to someone you don’t know.

Awesome! I’m stoked to try this place out in the future. I haven’t been to downtown Plano since high school. I remember it having a nice rustic atmosphere.

Follow Downtown Plano Arts District, and Plano Arts and Events on FB for notice of upcoming events. T Doesn’t always make it onto those pages but until the weather gets too Ho there’s usually live music at McCall Plaza Fri and Sat nights.

Find a hobby and get connected. Like playing sports? Check out local sports leagues. Like playing board games? Go checkout some of the game stores that have play spaces like Madness. Find a club doing something that's interesting to you, even if you aren't great at it (yet).
Also, classes at Collin College are cheap, and entrance is stupid simple if you're an actual highschool graduate. Go study something interesting to you, even if it's not necessarily towards any particular degree. Or find some degree program that sounds cool to you. You'll meet people there.

Considering volunteering somewhere that lines up with your interests and you may meet others doing the same too! Met some of my best friends doing really boring volunteering and lots of talking!

I’m into coin collecting. And I found a group called the Collin County Coin Collectors. I haven’t joined yet. And from what I’ve read, they meet in McKinney the third Thursday of every month.

This is it. Find a group of like-minded people or a group that enjoys doing what you like to do. Hobby groups, sport teams, climbing gym, martial arts, religious/church groups, sport/gaming clubs, rec pickleball/basketball (Plano Parks Rec Centers have a million groups & activities), Collin College has clubs and activities, live music groups, and volunteer groups galore

Join our discord? I am hoping it gets more chatty and that folks have more events, lol. There are folks of all ages though and most, if not all, are local,

I don’t have a discord. I have Twitch. But I might get Discord just to join the one you mentioned!
