Classic Guns

Looking for opinions on classic, heirloom-worthy firearms to eventually pass down to my boys. Posting a pic of my Colt King Cobra .357 — now I’m looking for a semi-auto to complement it.
Right now I’m leaning toward a Colt 1911, especially something blued/royal blue, but open to other classics too.
What would you buy if the goal was occasional shooting fun and to hand it down 25 years from now?

I just bought a Marlin 1894 Trapper .44 Magnum Lever Action Rifle. I think it will keep its value over time.

I would say a Python, but seeing as you already have a Colt revolver and like 1911s, maybe a higher end 1911 like a Les Baer would be the way to go
Very shootable and potential heirloom quality all in one with that
