ULPT Fabricate "qualifying event" for health insurance change?

My wife started a new job and we signed up for their "insurance" because my workplace doesn't offer health insurance.
We found out that it isn't insurance, is a "cost sharing plan" and isn't accepted anywhere and is a passion to use. My wife is self employed, but her group offers this plan.
Because we signed up for this we cancelled our private pay insurance to switch to this.
Now we're finding the plan doesn't work for us and would like to get back on the health portal and sign up for private pay insurance again, but can't until open enrollment at the end of the year, unless we have a "qualifying event" that would allow us to sign up again.
I don't see any of these qualifying events in our future. Are there any loopholes that I don't know about?

‘Losing coverage through another source’ is a qualifying life event. So as long as you have a letter or something stating that current coverage is ending on xx date, you should be good. Just make sure to enroll in the new insurance within 31 days of that date.

If you're not getting the care you need then you can choose another plan by saying you are not getting "access to care" that you need. Use those words. Also, ask on the insurance sub but don't make it out like you need to "fabricate" something. I'm pretty sure you can choose another carrier if you go through the right loops about not getting access to care.
I was able to change insurance like 4 years ago because the one I chose was shitty and I wanted a better one. I went through the market place.
