How down bad am I?

I got my CDL last June from Tampa Truck Driving School and work for Stevens Transport from June to October. My sons mom passed away so I had to move back home and work back at my old job. I've been out a truck 7 months and squared away everything back home. How hard would it be to find a job? not looking for top pay just looking for another chance. Any companies you would recommend? out of Jacksonville fl

Cypress truck lines home yard is Jacksonville. I worked there for a year. It's flatbed but loads get tarped by the manufacturer (mostly drywall). Home every weekend. Pay is mid but better than a lot of megas.

you’re fine man, you’ve got recent cdl and months otr so you’re not starting from zero. call some smaller carriers or regional outfits around jax, not just mega carriers. you’ll probably get bites but even with a cdl it’s wild hard to land something decent right now
