best 27 inch pc monitor for gaming and work under $500–$1000?

Been looking to upgrade my setup for a while and I think a 27 inch monitor is the sweet spot for what I do (mostly gaming after work, plus some light photo editing and general office work). I’m based in Seattle and my budget is around $500–$1000, but there are so many options out there I’m kinda stuck.
Would it make more sense to go 1440p high refresh rate IPS, or are OLEDs in this price range actually worth it for mixed use? Also not sure if I should prioritize color accuracy for editing or just go all in on refresh rate since I do play a lot of FPS games. Any specific models that are actually worth looking at right now? Thanks in advance.
