Whats a good glock/glock adjacent slide for painting?

For the custom painted raygun glock im making, I decided to use the ruger rxm platform mainly because i own it and i can use the same guts in a new slide and frame to save where i can. I went with Magpul's full size frame over the shorts bros metal one because I cant afford the extra $300 at least for now with all the money im putting into the gun already, so now im working on what slide ill use. I want one that is tried and true and has vertical back serrations. I dont know if its better to have no from serrations or to have them because ill be painting over them but I also need to cock the gun so idk. Honestly, im still new to guns so I dont know how to effectively shop around and pick the best deals or parts so any advice is much appreciated.

The Palmetto Dagger is cheap, will work with the RXM lower, and checks all your boxes as far as serrations go. Might be worth a look. You could also get a Patmos for a little less.
