I spotted this car in 2012 in Los Angeles, when going to a movie at Arclight Dome movie theater.
I recently found this listing (from 2018) for this exact car for sale! (To be clear - the listing isn't recent -- I just hadn't seen it before.
I marked out the license plate in my photos, but it is the same plate number as this Oddimotive listing which has a detailed history of the car. Thought this group might enjoy it. :-)

Denzel should've drove this in training day.

Gigachad Granada

Ford Granada front lights...Chevrolet Monte Carlo rear lights...and at least from this angle, the greenhouse of a Ford Pinto. I won't even get into those thrown-on bumpers and ridiculous body, except to wonder out loud what drugs were involved.

Speedballs?

Start with the design of the classic Cord 810, modernize it in an attempt to make another timeless beauty, and fail miserably.

We have Cord at home

I had a Cord, a 2005 EX-L V6. It was my first Japanese car.

I actually love the look of this car. Wouldn't want to own one like it (not practical, and I absolutely must have practical cars, lol). But I do like the overall design.

According to the listing, this was originally a 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. It has been turned into something utterly grotesque, I love it.

Grenada headlights. Pontiac taillights.

I worked at an independent repair shop as a mechanic in West Los Angeles, circa 1990s.
We had a customer that had a vehicle very close to this one.
It was a nightmare to work on, especially when it came to electrical issues, really botched up things I guess from whoever built this car.
The dashboard was made of plywood with an overlay of something that looked like wood grain ,like contact paper to adhere to kitchen cabinet shelves.
The car was junk, the owners attitude was like he was driving a million dollar car.
It was a nightmare when this guy pulled into the shop.

Wow. Very interesting. Plywood dashboard? That's crazy!

I also remember the smell of water leaks in the interior of the car. It wasn't from a heater core, it was just rain water and dew that got into the vehicle because of poor weather seals.
A total POS
