Need Help Deciding on First Ebike

I'm looking at these 2 ebikes to start going to work to. My job is about 10 miles from my house and I'm looking to use this for commuting and maybe picking up groceries occasionally instead of driving all the time due to how high the gas has gotten. My co-worker who has lectric highly recommended this company as he as a bike of theirs, and they recommended these 2 bikes. I'm about 240 lbs.
Other than the miles, how do these bikes compare in reality? I wanted to hear directly from other people how they like these bikes, Lectric as a company and anything I should know before I make such a big purchase.
Thanks

XP4, but I’d pre order the Xpress 2.

I didn't hear any requirement that the bike needs to fold.
If you don't need to fold your bike, get a fixed frame.

Yeah the folding is a bit of pain to get the battery out.

i have a couple XP lites and while I’m sure you can manage picking up some groceries with it, I sure wouldn’t want to do it often. It has a bmx bike size and feel to it… ton of fun, but not built for cargo

I have a Lite and a bike similar in specs to the XP4. As a primary bike I'd probably go with the XP4, more power and multiple gears. When I just go out for a local ride I usually take my Lite. Very nimble and easy to get out of my house. For longer rides or cargo hauling the XP4 is the way to go.

Not these

I dont ride these frequently, but as a mechanic have worked on both a ton. Stay away from the Lite... due to your rider weight. It'll be underpowered and underperform. The XP4 would be the better option, especially if you get the 750w motor. The 500w would work, but might feel a tad underpowered and heavy. Lectric is still pretty good with their parts and warranties so no issues there. I haven't had many with major issues until you get around 3-5k mi.
If you can, Id also recommend, if Lectric is your go too, the Xpress 750w. Im about 320lb and this bike still feels light and nimble.
If you want something beefier and need more cargo the Xpedition 2.0's arent that bad either. They're extremely heavy and the kickstand is a pita. Not great for bike racks. But not bad for a cheaper cargo bike.

Pretty easy if weight is a big concern get the lite of its not xp4 is much more powerful faster and and overall better

Just did this exact shopping with my GF, down to it being her first ebike. Landed on the lite2. I did think the folding feature was weird for her as she doesn’t need to put it on a train or haul it up stairs, but people on here love the brand!
If you were saying ‘daily driver’ replacement I’d say maybe the XP4, but the Lite2 should come with a rear rack. We put a milk crate on it with enough zip ties to lift the bike (7). She does her weekly local farmers market with it.
I’d recommend getting an air tag or something similar.
Have fun and ride safe!

Cordless grinders makes me never trust my bike is safe while shopping...

I do not own a bike from this brand but based on what you plan to do with it - commute and haul - I’d go with the bigger XP4. The smaller one you would need to buy accessories to clip groceries on the back whereas the larger comes equipped already. Better to be prepared a bit better for the scenarios you know so you can tackle the ones you don’t.
