Can you id this sailboat?

I am wondering if you can id this sailboat. My dad owned it in the 80s, and this is the only photo I have of it. Unfortunately, he recently passed away, so I can’t ask him.
Thanks for your help.

Catalina 25.
The cabin trunk goes too far forward of the mast step to be a 22, and the windows are too narrow.
The Catalina 27 is similar, but it doesn't have the molded winch bases on the combing.
The Catalina 25 is the Toyota Corolla of the sea: Safe, reliable, forgettable.

First gen 27s have the molded winch bases on the combing but I agree that this looks more like a 25

Yes, a Catalina 25 is usually uninspiring, but the full keel version with a clean, smooth bottom, new sails from North or Quantum and a competent skipper at the helm taking advantage of the gift PHRF rating, you’ll be chasing that stern all season

I was going to say the Cat or maybe a helms25. Leaning towards the Cat

Definitely a Catalina… I’m leaning towards the 27 foot version

Looks like a Catalina. My guess is Catalina 22, based on the length of the cabin.

Kind of looks like a Capital Yachts Newport. Hard to say on the size, looks smaller than the 28.
