Just finished the series for the first time. I get the disappointment in AFIN, but…

Gabby Samurai drip.
That is all.

I loved Gabby and Chakram. It felt right! I don't understand why the OGs have such a thing against it. Like these two women spent every waking moment together. The down time alone would mean Xena had to have tried teaching Gabby how to use her Chakram at least once. I can picture Gabby bugging Xena until she gave in and her never quite catching the return until that moment. It just f-ing works man. 😋 So good!

I'm an OG. I don't have a problem with Gabs inheriting the chakram. I just don't believe that means she becomes Xena. I like to think of her as the multi-faceted bard, idealist and staff-toting Amazon queen also carrying on the WP's legacy of fighting for good.

If only they’d kept the OG chakram, then Gabrielle could wear it has a nice hat!

Agreed, I don't like how how they/writed tried to push our Gabby into being just another Xena.

I don’t think any OG had any problem with Gabrielle’s use of the chakram.
Callisto and Livia / Eve were both able to wield it without any (on screen) practice. And Xena herself appeared to control it solely by the power of her mind many times, especially in seasons 5 and 6.

Yes, Gabrielle is definitely the highlight of the series finale! 😍

With a sick-ass ~~panther~~ dragon tattoo, too!
They could never make me hate your ascension to your rightful warrior throne, Gabrielle! The moment she becomes The Girl with the Chakram is one of my very top moments of the series

So beautiful 🥹

That's literally the only good part of that episode

I like to watch AFIN, When Fates Collide, Many Happy Returns, and then the ring trilogy.

Oh aesthetically the episode is killer. Just makes some silly story decisions. Gabby wielding a katana and the chakram fee like they belong in a different better story
