Moving to DFW post-grad

Hi all! Im moving to DFW in August and will be working in Westlake. I'll mostly be working from home, only being in the office around 5 times a month.
Im a 22 year old female. What area should I try to live in? Ive heard good things about Uptown/Knox/Lower Greenville, but they are kinda far from where I'll be working. Considering i wont be in the office that much, should I even care?
Another problem is my budget is around $1300, and living in the previously mentioned areas is kinda expensive.
Please give location suggestions and even apartment suggestions if you have any!

If I was working in Westlake I would live in Fort Worth or Denton. Uptown/Knox/Lower Greenville is probably about an hour from Westlake on a good day ie not during regular traffic.

Even only going to the office 5 days a month? From the bit of research Ive done the culture of Dallas feels a bit more my style so im willing to sacrifice commute to live in the area. Thank you for the insight!

Dallas? Culture? What you been reading?

😂 from what I’ve seen/read, Dallas seems a bit more fast-paced and social for people in their 20s. Fort Worth seems more laid back and slower paced which I know a lot of people prefer, just not really what I’m looking for right now.

Westlake is close to Denton. Westlake, Northlake and Argyle are family communities. But, Denton is home to University of North Texas and Texas Women’s University. UNT is a world class music school Denton has a bohemian feel with great music venues, independent restaurants and bars. I highly recommend Denton for a 22 year old female

No, you won’t like Denton. Westlake and Southlake are affluent areas that are very clean and safe. Love there instead of Denton. I would personally live in Downtown Fort Worth by Sundance square. It’s a nice area and won’t be far from your job.

At 22 don’t move to the suburbs especially if you’re only going on 5 days a week. Even if you were going in twice a week.

Ive heard many people say this haha

I would live near lower Greenville. IMO the easiest place to live (grocery, entertainment, easy access to 75).
$1300 is gonna require some looking. The village is nice and you might be able to swing that.

Thank you! Any specific apartments in lower Greenville you can think of? Ive also heard of The village and its def on my radar
