Should i buy the course in 2026 . I already know python basics till oops . I saw the course structure from outside it looked good. Is it still revelent? Please drop your reviews and guide me

I'm interested in the course but am seeing it 13.99 currently (5/19/26 745pm PST) on Udemy. Would anyone be able to confirm if it's 5$ elsewhere? Thanks in advance.

I bought the course when it was on sale, I think it’s worth it. I found that quite a few of the early lessons inspired me to want to build out the project code into something more. So anything that inspires someone to code is worth it in my opinion. I never completed all the lessons. I lost interest at the web development section but that is only because I’ve been a web developer for several years and am over it.

Nice try, Dr. Angela!

Ahh you got mee

I think the best way to learn beyond basics is building something is the way that I learn. In my case I find all courses repetitives so building something is my motivation

Building something without knowing what you are doing, making a mess, slowly rediscovering what has been known for decades and is already in books. That does no seem very efficient to me. A good book (and I emphasize GOOD) should save you thousands of hours rediscovering everything by yourself.

understand your point! maybe is just a different way to learn : )
Don_Ozwald@reddit
For the record, even though that point is decent. Yours is better.

I read many incredibly valuable programming books prematurely that I didn’t actually absorb the message until years later. That doesn’t just sound inefficient, I know for a fact that it is.
Good books are invaluable, but they land much better when you have real problems for them to attach to.

I think the challenge you may have is that the course is very structured to those with essentially 0 experience.
I started it as my first serious attempt to get into programming and absolutely loved it. The lessons felt great, the pace was good, and it really got me off and running to start learning on my own. No doubt you’ll hit a point in it where it sorta “falls off” just read the reviews. It goes from heavy hand holding to basically “build this thing” which is not ideal.
I’d say with the experience you say you have, you may be better off just trying to solve legit “problems” you have. Those are definitely going to be the best and most satisfying way to learn. But you really can’t go wrong with that course for $5.

Yeah if i forget about the price and focus on just learning? Is it revelent in 2026? I am having plans of doing more in full stack and aiml after this then?
SirKillz@reddit
I mean relevant in the sense of solidifying fundamentals you may not be comfortable with sure. It’s certainly not going to get you full stack ready. And definitely not AI/ML ready.
There’s sections in there that focus on some web development. I’d try and really focus on those. Flask is the framework they use, but she goes into the very basics of HTML and CSS. That will help with some static site building, but if you wanted to really get into web development you may want to check out the Odin project. I also did most (not all) of that.

Yeah i am gonna work on those two more definitely not gonna rely on the course for them . So over the course is good na even today too it gives practical knowledge of multiple things
Don_Ozwald@reddit
$5 is a throwaway price for any programming course. The real question there is if it is worth your time. Which I don’t have the answer for, but my personal recommendation for you is to start building. And and let the learning come from there.
Significant-Book6927@reddit (OP)
I agree from that but following an structured matterial along with building yourself is better than doing random stuff
Don_Ozwald@reddit
The only structure that really matters is your structure. A course can help, but only if it fits how you actually learn and what you’re trying to build.
So the only person who can answer whether the course is valuable to you is you.

It's $5 so yes
