Failed attempt at insurance fraud probably.
Rickleskilly@reddit
Apparently it's not illegal to drive your car into a lake as long as your car-boat is registered, you do it safely, and the section of the lake is open. And I hope Jimmy McDaniel remembers that next time.
Longjumping-Weird374@reddit
“No valid boat registration” 🤣

Hope the insurance company finds this article and denies the claim and non renews the insurance policy. So sick of all the damn fraud and I’m not talking about just insurance with this corrupt ass government.
sooner_25@reddit
Did you even read the article? Has nothing to do with fraud at all.
xRedempx@reddit
Intentionally driving your vehicle into the water and making an insurance claim would be fraud if filled for anything other than “intentionally driving vehicle into water”
If you intentionally damage property that’s a denial under your insurance contract. If you then say it’s anything other than intentional then you have just done insurance fraud.
sooner_25@reddit
Correct. But it mentioned nothing about him filing an insurance claim or any statements he made to insurance
xRedempx@reddit
I did assume he would make a claim as that’s normally what happens. It also says he has drove through water in the past which means he also should be uninsurable or very high risk at this point unless he has lied before which would most likely be the case.
I see this kind of behavior all the time as I work in the insurance industry. So you can call it a “gut feeling” or “assumption” whatever you prefer.
I’m 98% sure this joker has committed fraud

Dude obviously heard a classic rock station play Nickleback and thought that was the best course of action.
StandardDiver2791@reddit
Seems consistent with the intelligence I expect from anyone who owns one of these monstrosities.
Adddicus@reddit
LOL, who would be stupid enough to do that?
>Jimmy Jack McDaniel
Oh.... well, yeah. Of course.
sooner_25@reddit
Something also tells me this guy is not the brightest because he’s speaking to the media without his defense attorney
GoodpeopleArk@reddit
With a name like Jimmie Jack we shouldn’t be surprised lol
Mission_Yoghurt_9653@reddit
🤦🏼♀️
ThroneOfTaters@reddit
The venn diagram of Cybertruck owners and the kind of people that drive into lakes is a circle.
BothEntertainment00@reddit
Good, it cost money to respond and get it out.

I'm just glad that dumpsters float, makes recover that much easier.
PoliticsIsDepressing@reddit
This is the second time this has happened.

"Water safety violation" likely means no life vest, and the state is pretty tough about that, lol.
