Does the plan include a new Chrysler 300?
V8-Turbo-Hybrid@reddit
Just give a Charger with Chrysler badge. you would've the new 300.
KingMario05@reddit
Yes. It worked the last two times. It can work this time. And it allows them to repurpose the EV Charger bones into something that's actually useful.
KyledKat@reddit
Considering the bones aren’t good and people are still dealing with bricked cars this long after launch, I wouldn’t put much faith in that idea.
KingMario05@reddit
OK, fair. But the idea has value. They just picked the wrong brand for it.
kstetter@reddit
All it needs is a 6.4 Hemi

The Chrysler 200 looks gorgeous and has aged very well, even by today standards. I’d love a quality hybrid with a nice interior. Basically an upscale Corolla with good NVH that doesn’t look like a rental econobox inside.
RunnerLuke357@reddit
If only it was as reliable as it looked.
WyrdHarper@reddit
Just looked it up and you weren’t kidding on the interior. That looks great.
Shmokesshweed@reddit
Someone post the Katt Williams Chrysler 300 bit 😂
LongjumpingLock5875@reddit
"New" Chrysler 300.
Built on the same generation as the one that came out in 2011.
XMAN2YMAN@reddit
Which is based on the one form the early 2000s.
kstetter@reddit
They have a turbo six they can add at least
T-Baaller@reddit
Only if they can rebrand it something to appeal to the kegbreath demographic they're going all-in for.
NarcoticCow@reddit
Best we can do is a Pacifica refresh /s
argent_pixel@reddit
They just need to focus on a few segments to win 80% of the battle. They need a proper competitor in the compact SUV space. A "Jeep Wrangler Sport". The RAM 1500 needs a refresh, and if they bring RAM back under Dodge it would allow them to build more brand reputation on that side. Chrysler could become their Hybrid/EV experimentation brand so they don't fuck it up again like the Dodge Charger. FIAT just needs to get cut from the US market.
To be real, they also probably don't have the willpower or the money to revitalize both Alfa and Maserati. They might be better off leaving only one in the US as a proper Porsche competitor with 2 SUVs and a sports car, but all three of the competitively priced and good this time around.
Maybe it's also just time to come to grips with the fact that so much of the car market has become homogenized SUVs with 2 screen dashboards that half of their brand portfolio no longer has any actual justification to exist.
DodgerBlueRobert1@reddit
They literally just did that last year.
argent_pixel@reddit
One job done then!
urahozer@reddit
Make a new Viper you cowards
XMAN2YMAN@reddit
They made a viper and it did not sell. Sadly the viper never really sells in the numbers it needs to justify it. Plus it became more difficult to justify when the hellcats were just as fast.
V8-Turbo-Hybrid@reddit
Last Viper was considered overprice and MT only. When C7 Z06 had AT option and cheaper, Viper was basically game over.
KyledKat@reddit
Which is nuts in retrospect considering the numbers used Vipers pull today.
IExtremelyNeedCoffee@reddit
But now it could be the only front engine RWD American Supercar, there might be a (niche) market for it. (It won't happen, I know)
urahozer@reddit
Make it again and it would.
Shoopin@reddit
Make a viper hellcat duh
kstetter@reddit
They're switching to inline engines, maybe an inline 8 instead of a V10?
henchman171@reddit
Yay. More garbage cars from the Yanks!!
AndreLeGeant88@reddit
Italians
IExtremelyNeedCoffee@reddit
Worse. Italians mixed with French.
V8-Turbo-Hybrid@reddit
Stellantis is considered European car group, they aren't really American like GM and Ford.
Dr__Nick@reddit
I never understood why they didn't try to funnel appropriate European product, like Peugeot / Vauxhall through Chrysler. Had to be a better idea than winding down the brand into minivans.
KingMario05@reddit
Man, I hope they can turn it around. I don't care if it's unreliable or trashy. Our Chrysler 300 is so damn cool, and it'd be a shame for that brand to go the way of Plymouth. Same with Dodge.
eric_ts@reddit
I wonder how Carvana buying up Stellantis dealerships around the US and selling new vehicles directly to consumers will affect their revival? I mean I still wouldn’t consider one because of their QC issues, but destroying the whole new car franchise system is doing God’s work. Good for Stellantis, the consumer, and Carvana. If NADA is reading this, you did this to yourselves. Full stop.
dfields3710@reddit
Imagine all the lobbying done for America EV’s only for them to just partner with China to bring EV’s to America lol
V8-Turbo-Hybrid@reddit
They're planning to make these Chinese models in America, not import it from China. I think that's a good decision to develop their own EVs, they can learn and study their Chinese partner under protection.
FledglingNonCon@reddit
Certainly much better than the garbage they have put out so far in the US. I honestly don't hate the Daytona but they self sabotaged by releasing a product that wasn't remotely ready. I'd honestly seriously consider picking one up used in a year or 2 if they can fix their shit. Sadly the release was almost as bad as the fisker ocean.
Divedown757@reddit
Alfa coupe when
howyinzdoingnat@reddit
Is it a quality revival? That may work
Lucreth2@reddit
Tbh that ship would take 20 years to come home to roost. I think their dealer experience is an easier place to start. If you don't want to be treated like a used car dealer, stop acting like one.
howyinzdoingnat@reddit
If you don’t want want your franchise to act like a used car dealer provide them a product that works well
