Yup. If I’m in nowhere, Spain, I’m trying my English first, then some other big language I can speak. There is a chance the person speaks it or knows someone who does. Better than not being able to communicate at all(if I need to for some reason of course)
I found people speaking English and German everywhere and people speaking Russian in the strangest of places outside of the region where it is widely used.
