Youre gonna learn pretty quick that typically the people with shooting experience have trouble qualifying. Its the ones who shut the fk up and listen to the Drill that will outshine

None of them own an AR for you to get familiar with?

Better off just letting the military help you get comfortable in their own way. Something these government jobs hate, is people who already have “trained” themselves to have bad habits. He’s accurate so far. That’s the start

Honestly, that's training someone in any new skill. It's exponentially harder to unlearn the wrong thing than start with a blank slate

The army will teach you everything from square one regardless if you’re familiar with its operation
Judoka229@reddit
This. The military doesn't go, "Okay, all you deer hunters get to skip this portion of training."
As an RSO, I have seen way too many mistakes and injuries made by people who claim they know things from their upbringing.

I can't imagine why this was down voted so much. It's a perfectly reasonable question. Prior experience or not, if you're a good marksman, then so be it. If you're a poor marksman then hopefully boot camp makes you better, but I had plenty of junior Marines who had to requal after getting unq'd, and we all went through the same boot camp. Sometimes, weapons training can only do so much for an incompetent shooter.

Don't worry, there's hope: https://nypost.com/2022/05/02/man-has-artificial-penis-attached-to-his-groin-years-after-doctors-built-it-on-his-arm/

All I see is keyholing

If you have 2 paper targets it will look like key holes

Decent shooting. Doubt you'll run into a .38 in the army but the skills all transition. Don't blow your leg off with an M17/M18.
