Receiver has NO Bathroom for Truckers!

Delivered to a receiver north of Chicago today and I asked if they had a restroom and she pointed to a room with the door in the receiving area where we check in and said that used to be a restroom but they converted it to an office.

I asked if there was anywhere we could use the restroom (I have my wife with me) and she said we all go to the front of the building to go but we don’t have anything for drivers. She said we could walk to the gas station on the corner (a ways away). So that’s what we had to do.

All drivers should if at all possible refuse to pickup or deliver at a shipper/receiver who doesn’t provide a restroom!!! And I think they should have to provide an ACTUAL restroom, NOT a porta potty!!

We used to let drivers use our restrooms. They would piss and shit all over the walls, floors, and sinks. The cleaning lady saved pictures for a week and showed the CEO. The CEO banned the drivers immediately.

Yeah I just go in my truck. It’s happened so many times. I pee in an old gallon jug and have gone #2 in the trash so many times. I’m gonna get a sit down toilet soon literally because of this.

also, i drive a day cab 379 with air windows and a 3406, i know about bare-bones. that doesnt mean i'll tolerate shitting in a bucket to save a corporation from having to hire a janitor.

Shit. I'm at an RJW warehouse in Plainfield, IL right now and the only thing they have is an obliterated porta-john.

I've been waiting 30 minutes for them to change to the red light. I'm gonna end up pissing between under the catwalk or between the tandems.

I just hope the guys on either side of me don't notice me and freak out.

It's either that, or I can walk 50 feet and piss facing away from the drivers but be in full view of the people on I-55 N.

I know which rjw your at, I'm local to that area.

There's 18 rjw werehouses in the area and only 1 of them has a washroom for drivers to use. All of them just put out Porta John's for drivers.

I was somewhere in Michigan, and they told me if I had to use the bathroom I had to walk a mile away to the 7/11 and if I did that i'd lose my spot in line...and it would take 2 and a half hours to unload

I used to deliver to a company in North Carolina. When I asked for a restroom or portapotty they said "Just go in the bushes over there". Another driver asked then walked into the area where they parked their cars and dumped a number two between the cars and said he was not going on the bushes and being bit by a bug or something. They were not impressed!

I was at receiver and they told a driver no facilities. The driver proceeded to pull their pants down and squatted right there and took a dook. They did call the police and the driver was ticketed for indecent exposure.

Given the area they probably got tired of cleaning up after savages coming in there taking sink showers, shitting everywhere, not cleaning up after themselves. I’m not saying it’s right but I can see it from their point of view. If the majority of drivers are going to be treating a bathroom like a damn pig pen then maybe they reach a point where enough is enough.

Most places will be cool if you have your kid or spouse and let THEM go to the restroom. This is just how it has become due to the vast number of pure fucking pigs that drive trucks in this industry. We all see it. Truck stop parking lots. Certain rest areas. Fucking disgusting places. Some dude working minimum wage should not have to clean that level of biohazard up.
