Are you in north park?
ardesofmiche@reddit (OP)
Norinco AK47 Sporter and the most reliable dog that ever existed make for a great pair to take to the woods. May in the Cascades is just beautiful, everything is still green and flowers are just blooming. Creeks are still running clean and all the animals are out and about. Whiskey loves a romp in the woods almost as much as he loves sleeping on the furniture!
Title is a joke, there are no “attacking forces” in Central Washington State.

reminds me of Far Cry 5

Not the drugs part i definitely didn’t give hallucinogenic drugs to a bear

Thanks my guy, it’s easy when your background is so great

Straight from a dude’s basement, been there since 1989
I didn’t have to go in the basement he just sold it to me like a normal person

Hell of a nice back yard. I grew up in the Appalachians, but your area of the woods is God's country.
shmiddleedee@reddit
I live/ grew up in WNC. Traveling around the country really makes you appreciate this area. There are other amazing places in the country but not many as nice as the Appalachians imo.
PaperbackWriter66@reddit
It never fails to make me laugh when, in The Deer Hunter, the dudes drive out of their Appalachian mill-town to go deer hunting and 5 minutes later they're in the Cascades five minutes from British Columbia.
ardesofmiche@reddit (OP)
It’s absolutely gorgeous out here, I love living 30 min from here. Washington has some absolutely wack parts but there’s good parts too
CWM_99@reddit
A good dog beats the hell out of just about anything else you could have on this planet
ardesofmiche@reddit (OP)
It’s so hard to beat a good dog. All dogs are good dogs, but some dogs are just pillars of happiness you know?
CWM_99@reddit
Unfortunately I do know. The army wouldn’t bring my dog out with me when I went to Europe and he’s been sitting in my parents house the whole time. I’m more excited to see my dog again than my old friends.

These are referred to as the best bleed out spots.

For P320 owners that’s just anywhere though

Every time I see an AK like in picture 3 I hear the Nintendo 64 James Bond music

Unfortunately you're not repelling the attack, but damn if you won't make them pay dearly for it while your loved ones escape.

Hiking always feels better with a weapon. Almost like that's what our ancestors did since they first
ardesofmiche@reddit (OP)
Feels good, the wilderness is ours now through the power of 7.62x39
No-Wear-8862@reddit
I've legitimately taken deer with that cartridge. You'd be surprised how effective it is
Mountain_Man_88@reddit
It's basically the same ballistics as .30-30, which is a prolific deer getter. FMJ/ball might not be ideal but hollow points would do great.
shmiddleedee@reddit
762x39 hollow points don't perform much different ballistics wise than standard ammo. They're actually made because it's easier for some manufacturers to make the bullet concentric that way.
No-Wear-8862@reddit
Yup! That's what I used. Some weird white box ones "made in Russia".
I still have one of the bullets I pulled out of the poor thing. Not a perfect flower but it did its job
shmiddleedee@reddit
I've killed probably 100 pigs with it too. Definitely has some ass to it.

Hillsides are vulnerable to artillery, be careful hahaha

Nowadays it’s just a drone you’ll never see
DiscoDickJonez@reddit
Seeing the drone combat footage here on Reddit is scary. Most of the time having a gun doesn't do the target any good. Even when they shoot at the drone its hard to shoot down four DJI drones trying to get you.
shmiddleedee@reddit
Yeah real spooky. Imagine hearing that whir while you're trying to hide from one.

Shovel go brrrr
sploader@reddit
Love the columnar basalt formations in Central/Eastern Washington! Other issues not withstanding, it is a beautiful place to live.
ardesofmiche@reddit (OP)
There’s a few columns in that last photo that are like 30ft tall!
sploader@reddit
The whole cliff face in your last photo is impressive! The columns in my photo are from Nile. About 10 miles west of Naches.
ardesofmiche@reddit (OP)
That’s great, this is further up off highway 12. Great spots though

Next time, Sundance, when I say let's go some place like Bolivia, let's GO some place like Bolivia.
Next time.
Super_Raccoon_2890@reddit
What kind of dog is that?
ardesofmiche@reddit (OP)
The brown dog is a big ol mutt with some Dutch shepherd in there, which is closely related to the Belgian Malinois. He has that drive and he’s very reward motivated (doesn’t really care about food treats he’d rather get a toy)
He used to be a handful to manage with such high drive but I’ve gotten better at focusing it onto tasks he can accomplish
Eastern_Control4375@reddit
You have it all .....to protect !! Dog will give you alert .....AK will sing a song if they dont identify and stop!!
Nice ....very nice...!!
