Whats the uh, non milk parts
Looks like some sort of noodle
Milk and noodles what the fuck man what
FeeAdministrative666@reddit (OP)
Yeah noodles
AppUnwrapper1@reddit
Is it milk soup or noodle cereal?
cut_rate_revolution@reddit
Cereal is a kind of soup.
Fun_Environment3792@reddit
No its not.
cut_rate_revolution@reddit
Chowder is soup. Soup can be milk based.
Gazpacho is soup. Soup can be cold.
Cereal is soup.
MarionberryLoose7732@reddit
If you put a strawberry smoothie into a bowl and eat it with a spoon. Is it chilled strawberry soup?
AppUnwrapper1@reddit
Then it’s a smoothie bowl.
wavdaily@reddit
Mmm...soup
Loose-Story-962@reddit
Cereal is only a soup when you're having a conversation about food categorization
OGBRedditThrowaway@reddit
Yes, technically. If you're going by the dictionary definition of a soup.
Nobody in real-world usage in the culinary field considers it a soup though and calling it one would probably get you mocked endlessly.
UpdateInProgress@reddit
Yes
roughczech@reddit
Pretty normal in Poland
Sneekpreview@reddit
I like milk and rice but ive never tried it with noodles
Nvz42084@reddit
I’ve had them like that in my childhood back in former USSR and wasn’t a big fan either
Low-Engineering-7374@reddit
It's just watery Alfredo, I don't see the issue
Interesting-Ad3759@reddit
Filipino— I grew up eating chicken macaroni soup with milk in it. They call it “sopas”. Practically a chicken alfredo soup or pot pie soup.
Milk is more expensive than chicken in the Philippines so I can’t imagine having the soup with just milk alone.
theoldone99991111@reddit
I used to eat it often enough when i was a child. If this soup is pretty salty, there're not too much noodles and if they are a little undercooked, it tastes kinda good, especially with rye bread. It's not the best food, but it's comforting
beardostein@reddit
I prefer milk steak
Xfuck1tX@reddit
DarePatient2262@reddit
And raw jelly beans
Fun_Environment3792@reddit
Only the finest.
Illustrious_Peach494@reddit
noodles & milk are a classic dessert in romania. as a non-dessert, i’d find it unusual though.
Sweaty_Candy69@reddit
Oh, you're Polish! I thought this was a Lithuanian specialty but I guess you have it too. It is pretty shitty though
Remarkable-Manager56@reddit
Try putting buckwheat instead of noodles. Next level of shitty. Was fed that stuff at the kindergarten, still remember the taste. Ukrainian twist on this speciality 😅
YoYeYeet@reddit
I'd say it's generally post-soviet countries thing. In Ukraine we also have that.
liberatedhusks@reddit
Germany did this too lol, or my mom learned it from my Austrian grandparent. Either way milk noodles was a staple when sick
Toros_Mueren_Por_Mi@reddit
Also is it just called "milk soup" or is it like those swedish herring in cream sauce bc those are 🔥
Sweaty_Candy69@reddit
It's pasta boiled in milk. You'd usually make fresh pasta though. And you add salt or maybe sugar to make it slightly more palatable
BreadKnifeSeppuku@reddit
I'm starting to think a lot of the "weird white people foods" are all Polish unless they're fish or bean related
halffullofthoughts@reddit
Oh, you’re in for a treat! We have glorious winter dish beans & prunes and the infamous karp w galarecie (carp in jelly)
BreadKnifeSeppuku@reddit
Here I was doubting in you guys
Toros_Mueren_Por_Mi@reddit
Is that where Americans got the idea for sardines in aspic?
iHate_Allsortofthngs@reddit
To compliment your soup ?
iCantCallit@reddit
i swear people are just taking pictures to farm. Noone does shit like this because theyre struggling.
AnAnonymousParty@reddit
I don't see any oysters in that oyster stew.
Neat-Survey2796@reddit
I will not tolerate any slander towards OP, this is DIVINE! Though I have to ask OP, do you eat this plain, with salt or with sugar added?
FeeAdministrative666@reddit (OP)
Sugar
Neat-Survey2796@reddit
Interesting. I couldn't ever get behind the taste though, I personally eat mine with salt. It makes it feel more like a lunch food than a desert, yk?
liberatedhusks@reddit
We did this growing up as well(German mother) except she added cinnamon and a bit of honey to the warm milk when we were sick
ClassicLightbulbs@reddit
You tell me, chief
Fine-Upstairs-6284@reddit
This is something I grew up eating, it’s been a while. I have been sort of craving pasta with strawberries lately though.
Serious-Echo-3076@reddit
You are one sick puppy 🤢
Fun_Environment3792@reddit
Yeah ok but the whole point is that the noodles are cooked in the milk. Like drop noodles. Unless you just put some store-bought noodles in some hot milk and called it soup.
Different-Dog-9682@reddit
I forgot what it’s called, but they make something similar in Egypt as a desert. It’s really good.
Yarhj@reddit
If you're lactose intolerant, it's about to be.
erect_dragonly@reddit
Nice try. Google Polish milk soup. It’s a thing alright but this is the wrong kind of noodles.
FeeAdministrative666@reddit (OP)
There's no such thing as "wrong kind of noodles". For almost 30 years i've been eating milk soup with this kind of noodles, (in this case it's Polmak krajanka).
headphones_J@reddit
Never had a milk soup.
XO8441@reddit
Any “Cream of [blank] soup” is just milk soup.
This is just a bland, under cooked, unseasoned version.
kaspars222@reddit
Consider yourself lucky
AspiringOccultist4@reddit
I’m calling the police.
maxpaver@reddit
Looks shitty to me!
Turd_Ferguson420@reddit
Yes
Pleasant-Profile4860@reddit
Well…might make you shitty. Please don’t eat that

come with me, this is a citizen's arrest
xiipaoc@reddit
Milk soup is not necessarily shitty (I mean, cereal is milk soup, isn't it?), but this one, yeah, it's pretty bad.
xblackdemonx@reddit
what is milk soup? cereals?
FeeAdministrative666@reddit (OP)
Noodles
1000_pizzaslices@reddit
What is your milk noodle soup policy?
TheSultan1@reddit
Is that milk with spaghetti? And sugar? And a little vanilla? I love that shit.
Never heard the term "milk soup," but one of my friends saw me eating it and called it "chewy milk." I think I prefer "milk soup."
