Travelling from Canada-suggestions??

I’ve been to Portugal, Iceland, and England. Where in Europe in November can I get to that will make my dollar worth it?
CAD sucks but, I know some Euro countries can be cheap. People say stuff like Croatia, but looks so expensive to go too?? I was thinking Greece maybe but idk.
I’m open to anywhere! Just cheap haha. Suggestions? We also would rather do hotels and air bnb instead of Hostels since we are a family with a 13 year old. Just for safety you never know:)

Albania, Bulgaria or Turkey would be my suggestions.

Avoid islands/coastal resort towns that basically shut down in November

If you’re trying to keep costs down, Southeast Asia is honestly hard to beat once you get there. A lot of Canadians I’ve met also seem to do Portugal or Mexico for longer budget trips.

Budapest is probably one of the better options right now way more affordable than a lot of europe once you’re there, greece could work too in November if you skip places like Santorini

Croatia is not a euro country, it uses kruna as their currency.
Easy-Disaster3735@reddit
Yes it is and no it doesnt wtf? You must have something seriously mixed up
Lard523@reddit
Croatia uses the Euro since 2023.
Prior to 2023 it used the kruna.
both of you could stand to google things.
Easy-Disaster3735@reddit
We're not living in 2023 newsflash
Lard523@reddit
Your comment is unreasonably rude and your phrasing shows your clearly unaware of their previous currency name.
The currency was changed pretty recently, if someone was in croatia or checked things about croatia prior to 2023 it’s reasonable to assume they still have the same currency.
Easy-Disaster3735@reddit
OP asked about croatia they clearly had not travelled there before and are planning on doing so this summer therefore it is completely irrelevant to tell them about a currency that is 3 years out of date and not in use anywhere in the country. Your comment about googling was much ruder and your reasoning is completely wrong and unfounded in facts.
Kind regards Lard523 from someone that has lived in croatia and is from the balkans.

I think your answer was quite rude, you could’ve simply said it is now eurozone, rather than what you choose to reply to
misterright1999@reddit
if you get so offended on the internet by the smallest things, I think it's time you terminate your internet connection contract and just stay offline.
Lard523@reddit
I like my internet and i like my ability to google things rather than ask stupid questions on reddit, i’ll keep my internet thank you very much.
misterright1999@reddit
oh brother
Lard523@reddit
yup! enjoy your day!
misterright1999@reddit
Brother it is not legal tender, the currency is out of circulation. No one uses Kruna in Croatia anymore. How is 3 years ago pretty recently?
misterright1999@reddit
That's like if someone said Barack Obama is the president of the United States, and you came and corrected them like oh prior to 2017 he was president.
hurr durr both of you could stand to google things.
Lard523@reddit
no one person says he’s the president currently , the other person doesn’t believe he was ever a president, and i said he was a president prior to 2017.

please take some of these and reply back when you're more sound.
Lard523@reddit
i don’t need any olanzipine or anything of that family, i’m quite mentally sound at the moment.

I (also from canada, from northern BC) have found france (not paris) to have decent prices and good cheap flight connections with westjet. I also found spain quite affordable in 2023 in summer.
Other than the cost to get there, some eastern european countries are quite affordable.

Italy. Italy is surprisingly cheap. I once got direct flights from Canada's worst airline to Rome for under $300. that was in October, so it's quite cheap to fly to. Flying from is a completely different story.
