I just gotta say, as a tiny-shop, indoor-outdoor hobby woodworker, this weather forecast SUCKS!

I know, Texas, springtime, blah blah.
Just looking at the rain chances pretty much every day for 10+ days has me depressed. Have to roll some tools out onto the driveway to use the shop.
C'mon weather gods, I wanna make sawdust.

Dallas Makerspace for the win… great woodshop
masquefetiche@reddit
I’m loving this weather and my plants are too.
CricketJaxson@reddit
Don’t believe the forecast, it’s regularly wrong to some extent. It’s pretty normal in Dallas for it to not rain at all when the forecast calls for it.
AbroadUsual6250@reddit
The National Weather Service cuts under this administration have also led to significantly less accurate weather forecasting. I’d take the forecast with a grain of salt!
matmoeb@reddit
The last few months have been the worst as far as reliable weather forecasting.
Adjective_Noun4377@reddit
Max Velocity on YouTube has the best and most accurate forecast. He even goes live during storms and stays live with you until the threats have passed. He has never given me bad forecast.
Big_Puzzled@reddit
texas storms have always been inaccurate but today is not it its literally pouring rn lol
GravitationalEddie@reddit
I don't think you understand forecasts.
extraordinaryevents@reddit
That’s not specific to Dallas, that’s just weather forecasts
yuppiemike@reddit
https://dallasmakerspace.org/ is a great option if it's close to you

I just planted a new garden, so I am loving this weather. Don't have to water every day, and hopefully things get established by the time it gets stupid hot in the summer.
forbiddenfreak@reddit
The people crying about rain now will be the ones complaining the loudest when it gets hot and dry.
Dallas2houston120@reddit
I want rain until July if possible. This will produce less 100 degree days.
lost_in_trepidation@reddit
A repeat of last summer where June is pretty moderate and rainy would be nice.
Dallas2houston120@reddit
yep if that is the trend going forward I will be pretty happy
Snobolski@reddit (OP)
I know we need rain, but can it please just rain when it's convenient to me? ;-)
ApprehensiveAnswer5@reddit
This is always my whine, so I feel you 🤣
Like WHY DOES IT HAVE TO RAIN DURING SCHOOL PICK UP AND DROP OFF? That’s already a shitshow on its own.
Please rain between like 9am and 2pm on weekdays. Kthxbye

I’m hating these mosquitoes
Right_Bike_5416@reddit
You'll be begging for this in 2 months when we get 3 straight weeks of 100+ degree desert heat.
Snobolski@reddit (OP)
Having been to deserts on many occasions, I assure you we do not get "desert heat" here.
Right_Bike_5416@reddit
Ya, it's actually worse. There's a dash of humidity in there, so it's 100 degrees that feels like 115.
Snobolski@reddit (OP)
"a dash of humidity" LOL I'll remember to call it that in August when I've sweated thru my 3rd set of clothes in one day. "Just a dash of humidity" hahahahahaha
FlightyTwilighty@reddit
"a dash" as compared to Houston perhaps haha
Right_Bike_5416@reddit
(that was sarcastic)
qolace@reddit
Y'all have hobbies in this economy 😔
good-timing-407@reddit
I feel ya. Been waiting a few weeks and I have a vintage car that’ll be ready by end of week. If a hailstone touches it, it’s totaled. 😆 we are building a shop very soon but not going to be up for another few weeks.
mylinuxguy@reddit
and it's just going to be extra humid with these rain chances too.... so hot AND extra humid.
Snobolski@reddit (OP)
Nice!
arlenroy@reddit
I'm with you, worked all my life (especially hard the past 5 years) to purchase my dream vehicle. A 1978 Toyota FJ40. It was a resto half way done and the owner just lost steam, got a good deal on it. I have a storage shop for it and all the parts/tools, but no heat or ac. Kinda hard to work with the door open when its theres a constant threat of rain.
BrightAardvark@reddit
I love working on cars with the garage door open when it rains. Unless you mean you have to stage stuff outside to have enough room to work in the garage?
Backyardt0rnados@reddit
It rains on my drill press is the garage door is open :(
TexasBaconMan@reddit
I feel ya!
